The way Pioli constantly insults our intelligence is embarrassing.

He's been doing it since Orton was not re-signed.

taken from the ESPN Home Page on Matt Cassel's future as the KC Starter:

Quote:

Cassel was showered with boos throughout the first half Sunday, but was greeted by something much worse by the time the fourth quarter rolled around: silence.

The vast majority of the crowd had already headed for the parking lots.

i love it.

those paying the prices, attending games, season tickets...they are all fools and they deserve what they get.

Report: Chiefs losing confidence in QB Cassel

Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports reports that Matt Cassel is losing the confidence of "players and many others" in the Chiefs' organization with his dismal play of late.
Cassel, incredibly, is on pace for 40 turnovers. Head coach Romeo Crennel still has Cassel's back, but it remains to be seen how long it will last. "Look, there's a big reason why they went after Peyton Manning as hard as they did this offseason," a source with knowledge of GM Scott Pioli's thinking told Yahoo. "What you're seeing from Cassel is pretty much what was expected. He's a really nice backup, not a starter." The Chiefs should have re-signed Kyle Orton in the offseason. They're stuck with Brady Quinn and Ricky Stanzi behind Cassel on the depth chart. Stanzi was awful in the preseason.

A couple of comments about this...

1. "He's a really good backup QB." - ummmm, the problem with backups is they become starters when your starter gets hurt and then you're back to square one. Backups should be development prospects who are ready and capable when their number is called. Cassel is not a good backup. I HATE it when anybody says that. Drives me crazy.
2. What if the players lost confidence in #7 from the very beginning? I've been searching for answers why this team sucks so horrifically from top to bottom when they're very talented on paper and the only thing I can come up with is that the other 52 don't believe in the guy leading the way so they're just going through the motions.

I dont think they respect him anymore, if they ever did at all.

How many times has he throw them under the bus(the grading out comment comes to mind).

He's constantly getting his receivers lit up with high throws.

The stupid interceptions (screen pass madness)

Everyone on the team is held accountable or has competetion except Cassel.

the guy cant even celebrate with his team mates with out making a total ass of himself. He reminds me of the waterboy when they score.

.

The fact you think Orton is the answer is an insult to everyone on CP's intelligence.

If you are going to bitch about not getting a QB, make it a worth while QB, say one from the draft or something and not just another gutless pussy.

Idiot.
