Its so bad I.would rather run the wildcat.

Better yet, have Cassel run the wildcat against the Ravens. The problem will solve itself.

What is there to gain by playing Quinn instead of Stanzi?

What negative result can we get from Stanzi that we haven't already endured with Cassel?

Exactly.

Best case scenario, Stanzi turns into Tom Brady.

Worst case scenario, Stanzi sucks, we cut him or keep him as a backup and draft a QB.

There is no downside to playing Stanzi over Quinn. For all over Florio's faults, he did talk about this today on PFT, which is the TMZ of the NFL. However, he's right. Stanzi should leapfrog Quinn IMO.

Stanzi plays well enough that the Chiefs pass on a QB in the 2013 draft.

We are 1-3 with 12 games to go and we would need to win at least 8 more games to be out of the qb picture (considering a trade up using a first and second rounder to get high enough as the baseline)

If Stanzi turns this team around and we end up 9-7 (which would mean Stanzi would be 8-4 as the starter) how would that be a bad thing?

This place is crazy in some ways.

Why would people be disappointed with a 25 year old quarterback that we drafted going 8-4?

We need to get Quinn prepared so we can go 1-15.

Cassel might sneak in a win or two.

BossChief 10-01-2012 10:11 PM

Last year, Dallas went from 17 to 6 with only a second rounder.

L.A. Chieffan 10-01-2012 10:12 PM

I think Quinn would do just fine

I really don't know how good Stanzi can be, but the little bit I saw of him in the preseason was not impressive at all. If they do put him in, he won't last long in my opinion.

Forget Stanzi & Quinn: put in Colquitt.

For me, it would depend on how those games played out and if we made it to the post-season and his performance there.

If we drafted Geno Smith, I would expect a playoff appearance in his rookie season. Same as if we had drafted RG3, Luck, or Wilson.

High expectations result in high performances or replacement.

I'm not trolling though.

I just think the kid has work to do. Romo sat for two years before he got his chance at the halftime of the game prior to the bye week.

Maybe Stanzi gets a shot this year, maybe not. I just don't give up easily.

I'd much rather give him a chance that Quinn. Quinn is what we thought he is.

What? No Tannehill? No Weeden? Hardly seems fair to leave them out.

With the way Denver is playing and the Chargers already out to such an early lead, there is no chance we make the playoffs at this point....especially at 9-7...which even that is an unrealistic ceiling.

There is nothing Stanzi could do to keep us from either trading up and taking a qb or sitting put and taking one.

If he does well, it could propel the rest of the teams energy and get them to realize potential.

Tannehill is looking pretty good recently.
