If the newspaper ad costs 5k like KCUnited said, then I'll put up $1 if you put in the remaining $4,999.

A billboard that says at the top in medium sized letters, "Save The Chiefs" and in giant letters below that, "FIRE PIOLI"

Somewhere on the route between the airport and the stadium for Clark

Yes.

A print ad, given the cost, is a very very very bad idea.

Me either. Sounds like nobody did, or more importantly, nobody remembers it.

What happened with the billboard idea?

Odd...I'm pretty sure this post was the first seed planted in this call to action movement:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...9&postcount=42

I thought we had shot this down once we found out the cost.

Mile High Mania 10-11-2012 06:12 PM

People still read printed news?

I'd think you could find better ways to spend the $.

Man you love pimping yourself. LMAO

I'm ChiefsPlanet isn't in charge of a real marketing campaign.

This is a shoestring operation trying to make a big impact. Traditional media (of just about any type) just isn't viable unless you're wanting to throw away your entire budget for something that will have a very minor impact.

I think the billboard would be a good idea to spread the saveourchiefs word spread further.

We need to make that site the rallying point of this movement.

Advertising on Whitlock seems viable - lots of surface area for the cost of a t-shirt.

Sunday newspaper is still a damn good marketing tool. Wednesday is second best because that is the day the grocery ads come out. The rest of the week isn't worth it.
