I wouldn't exactly hold that against Reid, but I would hold some of his dc hires after JJ against him, that's for sure.

Well here he wouldn't be hiring the DC, Pioli would be.

Now is the time if you wanna move to a 4-3. Dorsey a FA and No way Jackson is coming back with that 17m cap number

Reid has had years and years of family problems, he has been at the same job for many years. Too me I really think he just needs a year off like Shanahan had and regenerate his batteries. I do no think I would hire him this year... he looks burned out.

I'd still question his ability to find balance on offense.

I don't know. I don't think he is married to a defense.

The question is if morninweig can win with a true qb. Morninweigs a good coach but hes not an oc hire that at all excites me.

yes and Scott Pioli's track record of DCs is just as bad as the OCs and his drafts.

lol

actually Pioli's DC hires are 10x worse than Reids

no thanks. He needs to take a couple of years off to get his family and life straightened out.

He has said a few times that he wants to coach and has plenty of energy to do so. He probably just needs a change of scenery.

If he could bring a good dc with him, I would be on board.

Agreed I think Reid could do wonders with Geno.

3-4 DE's are a dime a dozen.

You go to a 4-3, you need to find 2 outside backers. Finding 3-4 run stuffing DE's is easier than finding 2 linebackers.

The good thing about hiring Reid would be at least Charles would extend his career a few more years since he will barely touch the ball

His only dc hire was Romeo and in that role, Romeo isn't bad.

I'd love to get Reid and a DC that would bring an attacking 3-4 to the table.

Reid as OC?

It isn't. The chiefs have two elite pass rushers that belong in a 3-4. Build on your strengths. And I think Poe has a nice upside. If you have those three guys, that's a good foundation. Plus don't rule out Dorsey or bailey being suitable stop gaps for 1-gap

Agreed. Philly fans are famously brutal. A change would probably do him wonders.
