”This would be a much smaller one,” Surace said of the move. “They play the 3-4, so that’s going to be a pass rusher. (Sutton) came from Green Bay where he had Clay Matthews and Coach Reid, he had guys like the Trent Coles of the world. My guess is he’ll be in a position where he’s moving forward more than backward. We had to drop him at times, but it’s a little different covering NFL guys, but he’s fluid.
Sounds like you don't exactly have to be a Princeton grad to coach there.

Mike Catapano/Ziggy Ansah
Height: 6'4"/6'5"
Weight: 271/271
Arms: 33.75/35.13

40 time:4.75/4.63
Vert: 37.5/34.5
Broad: 9-8/9-10
20 yard shuttle: 4.4/4.26
3 cone: 7.03/7.11
Bench: 33/21

And Catapano was fantastically productive in College. This kid was probably my top sleeper for this draft. I figured he would go in the fifth or sixth though.

Hey Chiefs fan, if you want to look at a beacon of hope from the draft, watch this kid. I can't believe this thread fell off the front page.

Pretty meh showing, but not awful considering he joined them late and was 3rd string

He can play some, just maybe not as good as some of us hoped

I'm looking forward to the Chiefs 2016 offseason fluff piece players that will win the offseason this year ala Eric Kush and Mike Catapano of 2015. I wonder if there are any early candidates.

Dammit Dave. I was excited about cat as a seventh rounder before the Chiefs even drafted him. I was just excited they picked up someone who I happened to like.

Chris Conley and Justin March seem like safe bets

At least Gaines has done something in an actual live game that hints at being a contributor.

The hype around Catapano was just comical. Shades of Rich Scanlon and Boomer Grigsby.

No one, I mean no one will ever duplicate the love fest of the Roys and Rich Scanlon. Never.
