I can't wait to buy my son a Salvador Perez jersey. Love that guy.

Perez will be one of the most fun players to watch in the next ten years. I don't think a lot of Royals fans know what we have in this kid.

I said something similar to my brother-in-law on FB.

The guy's one of the best at his position right now. And he's young... We've got an All Star caliber catcher for years to come.

Hate to say it, but I can't see Perez catching for ten years. Dude's just too big.

He'll be 32 in ten years. If you said 15, I'd agree.

Congrats and well deserved! If Shields would have had more run support he would be there too.

CoMoChief 07-06-2013 08:42 PM

Shields and Holland deserve a bid too.

Royals really have 4 All-Star quality players. First time in a long time KC had that many All Stars on one squad.

Demonpenz 07-06-2013 09:13 PM

Alex Gordon Derrick Johnson both hypedand sucked...now turning into some of the best all time for respective teams.

Ceej 07-06-2013 10:14 PM

Jim Johnson didn't make it?

The MLB is so crooked.

Perez is a giant factor in our pitching being better this year. He calls a great game, he's money blocking balls and he throws guys out stealing. We've had so many washed up or AAAA level catchers here for the last 20 years, it's great to have a stud. He makes our starting pitchers much better, because they have a real field general behind the plate. That's one reason St. Louis has had good pitching, Molina is behind the plate. Good for Salvy. I hope he stays with us for many many years.

I love Salvy so much that I bought his jersey last year - and had to customize the jersey to get it. His defense is spectacular and he has a great bat. Once he matures in his approach at the plate he will be hall of fame/MVP good.
