Been suspecting this also. Dunta's better at keeping his eyes on plays in front of him and breaking to them. He still might suck, but as a CB, he can not turn and run with WRs off the line.

What? He barely plays now. How does he play slow? Which play are you talking about? You'd have to go back to the Giants game to find an example.

It's why he was cut and ended up here.

And then got burned here in spot duty...

Keep up.

He was cut (by the Falcons) because he lost a step and his game never recovered. He could hit, tackle, and knew his responsibilities but never truly adjusted to losing his legs.

THAT'S A FS IN THE MAKINGS.

We decided to put him in the next-man-up role at CB (on the outside.)

He ****ing sucked. HORRIBLY.

His days as a CB were done. Over. If we didn't want him as a FS there was no ****ing point in signing the guy...

wait you actually thought when they gave him 3 years 15 million it was to cover the SLOT?!?!? He can't cover anybody, anyone that follows NFL with a brain knew that last year.

WTF is that? No, we decided to make him a slot corner. It just so happened that Flowers was injured and he had to fill in. He went from having to cover Randle to covering Cruz. Of course he was going to struggle.

Btw, name one corner on the team that hasn't been horribly burned this season.

Which brings us to the point I just made that you disagreed with.

Look, you describe to me the type of athlete you want covering a slot WR...

You think he was supposed to be our #2?

Before free agency even started we knew we were getting Sean Smith. It was one of the worst kept secrets of 2013. Literally http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100...g-to-kc-chiefs

i'd like a 30 year old that ripped off his hamstring and can barely run a 4.9 with 3 concussions covering slot WRs

You guys act like every slot WR is Welker or Cruz. For the most part they're McCluster or worse.

mcaj22 11-05-2013 09:13 PM

players that line up in the slot arent just exclusive to midget WRs

you do understand that a lot of teams play big freakish athletic pass catching TEs (or a fast RB) in the slot too, that a slot CB, might have to cover.

A lot of teams? You mean like 5? And not that many teams put an RB in the slot either.
