That's why.

For regular common folk, finding yourself face-to-face with a favorite actor, musician or athlete is a rare event and they want a souvenir of it. I agree on the autographs, but I think a pic can be kind of cool, depending on the circumstances.

I recognize it but don't understand it. I've been fortunate enough to meet and befriend several "famous" people but I've never once thought "Pic!".

Maybe it's a generational thing. Hero worship has never been my thang.

If he lists his job as "President of SportsInk", it points strongly toward a theory that he's stalking them to get autographs so he can re-sell them. If so, that doesn't seem like a very noble profession.
