Try leaving a home cooked burger out in a cool dry place for 3 years and you'll notice something similar.

Bread dehydrates and cooked meat doesn't decompose like rotting flesh.

They used to be ok. Way to salty.
Anymore though, since they had to change them or the grease they
cook in. They taste just as bad as any other fast food chain.

Nah, I still think they are the best. I read somewhere that they put beef flavoring in them.

Also, I hate when fast food places don't salt their fries. I know I can put my own salt on from a little packet, but it's impossible to get even coverage. The salt just piles up on top.

I used to work at McD's back in the 80's when they used animal shortening to fry the fries, pies and McNuggets. I said DAMN that was good stuff...then they tried to go "healthier" (which I assumed meant "cheaper") with vegetable oil. Fries and nuggets have not been great at all since IMO, and they don't even fry the ****in' pies anymore.
