the cool thing here is that we will see this defense at full go now -- Sutton is going to open the book for this game. If the Chiefs can start getting blocking production early instead of late, we will see Reid open the book for the offense also, but I would not hold a lot of hope for that because the interior OL is crap. Hudson is too ****ing small and too slow to make up for it. He's no Case W.

I think we'll test the deep ball once or twice in the beginning and if the Oline doesn't block or Smith won't get rid of the ball.....we'll go back into our normal offensive shell.

I'd love to see them try to stretch the field with some 9 routes early. In fact, I'd like to see them run play-action and go up top on the first offensive play.

I don't have a lot of faith in Alex Smith: 1) Actually throwing the 9 route; 2) Hitting an open receiver on that play, though.

If I'm Andy Reid, I might run some plays that DON'T have a checkdown option just to force Alex's hand a little bit...

... of course, that probably means he'd just tuck it and scramble unless somebody breaks 4-steps open downfield.

There's a checkdown. No checkdown options in my scenario.

But, basically, yes... more of that, please.

Only problem is that Avery was HIS LAST READ on that play. How the heck is a go route on a play-action the last freaking read? If he goes there instantly, it's a TD, rather than being massively underthrown.

Smith pisses me off far too much for me to handle.

Yeah, he wanted to check down. You could see him looking over there for Charles.

That little hitch before he throws it keeps it from being 6.

But still... more of that. I don't know I'd even do the rollout. I want him throwing it quickly and going deep, and it's easier to get his feet set for that if he stays in the pocket.
