Yeah, our O versus your D was a south park cripple fight, and you took our crutches out then rolled your wheelchair over us.

They weren't blitzing.

And I find it hard to criticize the decision since we held them to their lowest point total of the year.

I think Otter meant "pass rush".

The sad thing is that it's possible to see the flashes and imagine this offense putting it all together, yet they haven't been able to do it just yet.

I think at this point, it's time to concede that they are what they are. No magical scoring explosion starting in week 12.

The offense is a lost cause.

We need some big upgrades this offseason. Alex Smith gets one more chance to prove he can get them scoring at least in the 20s next year.

Through 10 games we've produced 18 offensive points per game. That's not playoff caliber in 2013.

I disagree.

Much of their failure comes from play design, play calling and personnel groupings.

It's my opinion that Knile Davis is being underused at this point. Goal line and Red Zone play calling has been unimaginative. Hemingway and Jenkins are useless.

And as much as we all anticipated Fasano's return, McGrath needs more playing time and targets.

This offense won't put up 40 this year but it can put up 27.

Bullshit

Wishful thinking, Dane.

This offense has been bad recently, and has been bad against poor defenses.

We had some slight success in the first month but as soon as teams figured us out, poof.

They're getting worse, not better.

I'd agree that that's probably wishful thinking. While I may disagree with some minutia, the things you point out are valid. And have been valid for months. Yet nothing has changed. They had an extra week to figure things out this time around and once again looked like the same offense they've been the rest of the year. Which is, to be honest, what I expected would happen, although I hoped it wouldn't be. Don't see any reason at all to think that's going to change in ensuing weeks.

And in 2001, the Chiefs offense didn't blow up after Kennison was added.

Scheme, play calling and personnel groupings can go a long way to improve the defense.

No Kennison coming to save us, and Alex isn't as good as Trent Green.

They still have several more weeks to get better.

That's all we can hope for at this point.

I'm not really a "hope" kind of person...

They are what they are until they prove otherwise.

I'm glad you have it all figured out.

Your 2013 track record and all.

Six more weeks.

Stranger things have happened.
