Every team runs some pick plays. It's a fact of life in today's NFL.
As for the Colts making the same decision again, I would certainly hope they would. People forget that, at the time, Manning couldn't throw the ball more than 10 yards. There was no way the Colts were gonn keep him when the odds were so much against him ever playing again, much less playing this well.
They HAD to make the decision they did.
Josh McDaniels tried to get it going with the Broncos when he was the HC. He was screen-happy and trying to develop these kind of plays. We just never had the skill to pull it off.
