No, the player that features nexdef is last years. The one that says "no plugin required" is this years.

This years is behind for some reason, same if you have last years with nexdef installed.

But how can I run last years without nexdef installed?

It doesn't require it, only to use the "dvr" functions, like pausing and rewinding.
