No, I take it back. LeBron CAN sign with anyone. Other than that, in the NBA, contracts are capped. He will receive a max contract wherever he goes, right AFTER taking less to go for championships, which is what everyone wants Chiefs players to do every day, but LeBron is an asshole for it.

So why are you mad at LeBron again?

Actually, SRVY is at least partially correct, and you are at least partially incorrect. Miami can offer more money than anyone else can.

He can get $127.7m over 5 years from the Heat. The max he can get from other teams is $98.4m over 4 years.

Is that supposed to be Lebron in the gimp suit of Michael J. Fox in blackface?

Lebrun borrowed the gimp suit for a day.

ESPN was worried they were going to have to roll out the wall to wall Favre coverage again this offseason, but they were saved

Things would be so much better had LeBron not been hyped as the next Michael Jordan since his HS years.

But the thing is... he's living up to the hype as impossible as it seems.

Michael Jordan couldn't live up to his own hype with ESPN and syndicated talk radio like we have now.

I know that's tautalogical, but you should get my point.

LeBron has been a vehicle for increased media ratings. He hasn't been allowed to grow into his own role (whatever that role may be) because the media -namely ESPN- needs him to play to a narrative. Whatever that narrative may be.

OK then what is your solution to getting some information in the sports world? You get about 3 minutes tops locally. And dont say NFL network that place is lame in the offseason.

Local sports radio?

DVR or websites... espn.com does a pretty decent job of showing highlights and providing some free content (even though I usually just go to nhl.com or mlb.com, etc), and at least the ads in the videos are only 30 seconds. It's not 1990, there's no need to watch an hour of SC for the few minutes of content that's useful for you, especially when the rest of the hour is a mix between The View and TMZ for guys.

So you're tired of hearing about LBJ, yet you take your own time to go out of the way to start a thread about him?

Sounds like you need more LBJ.

Isn't he the soccer player with no loyalty to his team or fans?

He will be the first to tell you that his hometown is Akron, not Cleveland. Personally, I think he will join the Cavs if they can get Kevin Love. That would require them giving up Wiggins though, so we will see

I don't have a problem with Lebron other than the fact that I tired of seeing and hearing him on ESPN. Probably not his fault though. But they need to call it LESPN Lebron Entertainment and Sports Programing Network.

Lebron holds the keys to almost every other free agent out there. It's a really interesting off season. If you hate it, dont watch. It's not like there is a more compelling sports story right now.
