See my last post. But I would discount it to a good owner. I love that car and I want it to go to a good home.

Always workin~

Hey, I drove halfway across Kansas to buy the apricot Z. I've got no issue with a remote purchase. What kind of deal can you give me on a 2014 X1, preferably not black or silver, with the larger engine and as many bells and whistles as possible? I'm a buyer. And maybe a trade-in of a rare apricot Z3 if you'll promise to send it to a good home.

Do you have a picture of your current BMW? I have a friend here in KC that buys all sorts of BWMs, especially odd color ones.

I just took this picture today. Other than a bit of a sag in the glove compartment (which is common - design problem) and a handful of very small rock chips and door dings (1/4 the size of a plain M&M), it looks like new. I've owned it for 12 years, and it's at 99,500 miles. It's always been garaged and always had every maintenance done on time.

I'm not even sure I could fit in that thing.

Looks interesting. I'll admit that the local dealer here told me they have an X35 (bigger engine) with 9,000 miles and all the bells and whistles except the M package for $34K. I haven't seen it yet, though, and it kind of seems too good to be true if it really has everything on it.

How many clowns are you able to fit in that thing?

I'm assuming you own the car outright. What's the reason you can't keep it as the insurance and maintenance costs shouldn't be a ton if it's in that good of shape like you say. Not to mention financially your obviously doing ok if you're looking to buy another BMW! I doubt my wife and I could ever share one car either.

Yeah, I'm tempted to keep it. But why pay $1,000+ a year when I don't need to? I can rent a car on the three occasions per year when my wife and I both need a car. Plus, I rent the second garage space out for $50 per month if I only have one car. That's $600 in revenues lost if I need that garage spot.

Admittedly, my situation is unusual since I walk to work and live in a central city. Most households legitimately need two cars, but mine doesn't.

I have to admit. I've never understood car bras.

Ah, living in the city is much different. We'd probably only have one car if that was the case too as I'd love if I could use public transport to get to work.

Guess it's up to how much you love that thing. You aren't going to be able to rent many Apricot colored BMWs you know?!

Hmm. Maybe you went a year or so older than I'm looking? That's probably a good strategy, but in our case the car's age is ultimately the reason for trade-in, so I think we want to go as new as possible without buying new.

I really didn't want to put it on, but I noticed that I was getting some little chips in the front when I first bought the car. Since the paint never went to production I was wondering if perhaps it chipped easily, so I put the bra on it to protect it.

I've ended up with one tiny chip on the trunk in the ensuing years and have no idea how that one occurred, but otherwise the paint has held up very well. I think the chips in front may have been an anomaly from a particular drive in the mountains where I got caught behind a gravel truck right after I bought the car.

Lower ride height sports cars are more prone to rock chips in general and driving up the mountains is particularly bad for getting hit. Kind of one of those things you either deal with with or get Clearbra.
