I blame Indy Reid. When he calls a balanced game, the Chiefs are hard to stop. When he gets it in his head he has to throw the ball every damn down is when this offense shows its weakness. I was so frustrated by that game. Even as bad as they played, and make no mistake they looked like fried oakland asshole after taco night, they still had a chance to win the game, and the defense just folds..... And we get 10 ****ing days to think about losing to the ****ing raiders. I ****ing hate thursday night football.

This ones on everyone but Toub, the defense gave up a long, grinding Chiefs-like drive to a rookie QB to win the game, the offense shat its pants until it was too late... total team fail, coaches, players, towel and gatorade specialists, everyone.

So was Sutton dropping Hali into coverage a ton.....or is Hali just done?

You do realize that we came back and got the lead because we were throwing the ball.....right?

He's not done but he's not the weapon he used to be.

Hali has never been fast and he's lost a step.

You can definitely tell he's slower when you see him running out to the flats to tackle a RB.

after it stopped raining, but on those drives we were getting JC the ball as well. They threw the ball way too much early on, without even trying to establish the run.

I'd say you're half right. They tried throwing the screen too much early on. I mentioned it in the game thread. It was like Reid just dusted off the game plan from last years game where Charles had 4 receiving TDs. When it didn't work....he refused to get away from it.

The Raiders knew we weren't going to throw the ball farther than 10 yards in the rain.....so they stacked the box.

I don't know what the Chiefs are going to do next year.

Clearly Hali needs to take a sizable pay cut to stay.

Is Ford going to replace Hali?

Houston to rushbacker, Ford to OLB?

Hali rotates or plays more inside?

I dont buy Hali being done, he works too hard in the offseason... just last week he had a sack, 7 solo tackles and numerous pressures that caused early throws.

The defense as a whole looked a step slower yesterday, they're just emotionally and physically drained right now IMO.

I feel terrible for you guys, you really are a team on the upswing but Reid will always get in your way, its a really bad deal.

ViperVisor 11-21-2014 10:59 AM

Hali had a tough matchup.

Donald Penn has given up almost no pressures or sacks this year.

Reerun_KC 11-21-2014 11:00 AM

Sutton reminds me of GROB dropping Eric Hicks into coverage....

Such brilliant minds.

Jimmya 11-21-2014 01:28 PM

I'm still not fired up with Sutton myself!
