If my team was hiring him, first question I would ask is why he didn't get the Seattle DC job if he's one of the best coaches there.

That said, my guess is that the Raiders swung and missed at most of their main choices and settled on a guy who could focus on developing Mack and some of those guys while Del Rio does most of the heavy lifting on defensive gameplans and playcalling...

Raiders have had their fair share of losing seasons in the past decade but I cannot imagine being a Cheaps fan and having a real good team many years and choking every single time....
