I don't really have any strong feelings either way. I don't have a morality compass to drug use, unless she's preggo, then it's ****ed up. I could care less if she is snorting coke at a football game, and I could care less that the guy posted it to his social media. It'd be different if she wasn't being unruly or doing anything wrong and he went up to a cop and was like hey, this chick is snorting coke, arrest her. Then he's a narc.

You are going to fight someone, for not doing anything to you, but because they are doing drugs, and likely are chemically dependent? Seems like a very easy parenting experience and a real life example of how to explain how sad this is to your kid....not show your kid how you resort to violence simply because someone is displaying publicly their chemical dependence issue.
