I certainly remember the moon landing as well (yes, it DID happen!). But man, Tang was just nasty stuff even if it was cool since the astronauts used it.

I was 8 years old at a birthday party on the outskirts of the broadcast range for the rabbit ears to work. I could watch most plays with a lot of snow. I was not allowed to do my own rabbit ear adjustments. That was a job for the experts.

I had to wait until the neighbor lady had finished her KC newspaper later in the week to see the good pictures.

And thats the way it WAS and we LIKED IT :D

Just turned 9 a few months earlier. Became an instant Chiefs fan. Damn have I regretted it many times over these past 45 years. But I've had some fun along the way as well.

My best friend was also a Viking fan since he'd recently moved to Kansas from Minnesota. We were 9th graders then and we debated all season long as to who's team was the best. Guess I showed him with the beat down KC gave the Vikes.
He's now a Chiefs fan however
