Isn't that funny. In 1969 I was 6. I have such vivid memories of the Moon Landing. My Brother and I made a TANG Cocktail, ate Twinkies and had a freak out. We were in heaven that summer.

I certainly remember the moon landing as well (yes, it DID happen!). But man, Tang was just nasty stuff even if it was cool since the astronauts used it.

The best thing about Tang is that shortly thereafter, Pulp-Free orange juice made its debut

Born 22 months later... My dad was 26 and remembers it well.

I guess the next question is,, will I still be alive when they ever get back????

But a growing gleam in me pappy's eye was I

Just really hate admitting it with all of the donkos skulking around here lately... looking for something else to crow about

lewdog 02-11-2016 06:52 PM

No.

And I likely won't be alive when they win the next either.

I even got to watch on a color tv

I was 8 years old at a birthday party on the outskirts of the broadcast range for the rabbit ears to work. I could watch most plays with a lot of snow. I was not allowed to do my own rabbit ear adjustments. That was a job for the experts.

I had to wait until the neighbor lady had finished her KC newspaper later in the week to see the good pictures.

Just turned 9 a few months earlier. Became an instant Chiefs fan. Damn have I regretted it many times over these past 45 years. But I've had some fun along the way as well.

Almost eight, with my mom and uncle on a B/W set.

Was six years old. I thought "of course" the Chiefs are the world champions. I knew it would always be so...

Disposable lighters hadn't been invented yet.

My best friend was a Viiking fan, and watched together, sitting on the floor in front of our brand new console TV.

My best friend was also a Viking fan since he'd recently moved to Kansas from Minnesota. We were 9th graders then and we debated all season long as to who's team was the best. Guess I showed him with the beat down KC gave the Vikes.
He's now a Chiefs fan however
