His stats are terrible and at the basement with QB's that are rookies or have been benched. He did rise up and run well last night when needed. This team would be the one seed if we had a better QB that throws td's.

I completely understand this point of view.
However, for me, I dont agree with it.
I personally am more on the view of Alex that he gives 2 shits about stats. Literally. I remember that interview with him where he said at the begging of his career, during games, he was asking how many yards he was at, what was his passer rating etc... He said it wasnt until he said F all that, that he really excelled. And again, I think he has excelled from this standpoint. Alex is going to do exactly what it takes to win a game.. If it will take 20 runs and 5 passes to seal the game in the 2nd half, thats what hes gonna do, and hes not gonna care about getting more than the 150-200 yards he threw at half... If we played alot of games like we did in the 1st half, realistically alex would be tossing for over 4,000 yards EVERY season no matter what, but he doesnt play for those stats. Now the biggest counter to this is he needs to be able to turn up the heat when it matters, and FOR ME he always has done that. Any time we need to start scoring, he produces, or when we need to sling it when the other team is torching our defense, he does the same.
