Basically this. It's "On to the next" and by next I mean Draft another one. But, I have no fear with Mahomes. I fully believe in him to be great.

If it happens, just wait 40 years and draft another one.

Given his experience level and the amount of molding he needs, it's certainly a possibility, and the likelihood is far greater than a lot of people on here want to admit. However, if it happens, you just throw him in the gutter and go draft another. Conversely, you can sign a veteran retread, win 8-10 games a year, and then talk about how drafting a QB that busts wastes the prime years of your other players (as though the veteran QB isn't doing the same goddamned thing with a lower ceiling).
