@nfldraftscout: I had heard often that Peters was never going to re-sign in KC. But I thought the 49ers were the team likely to offer most to get him in a trade.

It probably has everything to do with, if those reports are true, the Chiefs having no chance to re-sign him.

If that's true, they are selling high. It all depends on the compensation and what they do to fill the gap Peters leaves behind.

There has to be a reasonable explanation for this. Just has to be. Not a chance in hell Reid didn't sign off on this.

And it's been stated a billion times already. THEN YOU PLAY HIM THIS YEAR AND TRADE HIM AFTERWARDS.

This trade is a complete failure unless we got at least a 1st round pick and a ton more.
