Its only a small part of the Big Island. It is called the "Big" island for a reason. There is zero chance it will become uninhabitable, except for the area that is affected. I would not hesitate to go there on vacation.

It's good to put on a good face, but I can hear the fear in your voice.

This is no worse than the lava flow that occurred in the late 80s with that volcano. It's not going to make the entire ****ing island uninhabitable.

Until it stops we won't know. That's why splatbass is freaking out.

What if it explodes and is followed by a larger quake? You see no tsunami resulting?

Side question: Why the hell doesn't Molokai get any tourism? It's got some of the best land features on all the Hawaiian islands.

Legacy of a leper colony? Actually it's good that they keep a cap on development so that all of the other Islands don't end up like a Oahu.

What if the Yellowstone super volcano erupts? We're technically "past due" for that, aren't we?

That doesn't answer my question.

I alway saw a video with geologists saying this one could explode.

They aren’t talking about the top of the mountain blowing off like Mt. St. Helens. It isn’t that kind of volcano.

I've got about 4 tons of Volcanic glass (Absidian) at my rockyard all in bowling ball size pieces. I have another truck load of boulders coming next week from Colorado and it's supposed to have a couple more about 2000 pounds each.

There you go, splatbass. Look on the bright side. Sure you might soon be wiped out by a lava flow or buried in ash. But if you make it, you could end up with a heckuva rock garden. God bless.
