Awful news. Such a great guy. Great teammate.

While Smith had his limits, what i always appreciated with him is that he was always available to play. Rarely hurt. Sucks to see him have such a good run here, and not be able to continue it in Washington.

Best of luck and prayers, Godspeed!

Lower body injuries are such a bitch; all that puss and blood and shit just settles into your feet and your heart does a lousy job of getting circulation down there.

I'm sure he's just stuck in that hospital bed with his foot above his head about 23 hours/day. And all he can do is sit there, be in pain and wait. That just has to be brutal as hell.

****, hope Alex makes it through

That sucks

Praying for Alex and his family. This is just horrible to hear.

PunkinDrublic 12-06-2018 11:14 AM

Always liked Alex. Rooting for him to pull through.

Damn. Rooting for him. Hate seeing this.

redfan 12-06-2018 11:15 AM

Dangit, just awful to hear this. I really hope he can pull out of it.

htismaqe 12-06-2018 11:18 AM

People die from stuff like this. Hope it all turns out okay for him.

I wanted Mahomes in there but I never wanted something like this to happen to the guy,

kczoo 12-06-2018 11:25 AM

Andy Reid channels his inner Knute Rockne and gives a “Win one for the Gipper” speech in tribute to Alex Smith.

Awful. Infection is never good. They need to get that shit under control before the metal goes in or there could be long term issues

Hydrae 12-06-2018 11:34 AM

Who the **** down voted all of the positive thoughts in this thread? Bad, very bad, form!

Easy 6 12-06-2018 11:36 AM

He was a model teammate, and all around great guy... best wishes for a speedy recovery
