Only half a free fence. This property line between this neighbor and the one next to them intersects ours at almost exactly the middle.

So now a shitty looking privacy fence, has uneven gaps between many slats, along half and then a 40+ year old chain link the rest of the way.

Just build your own taller, better fence as close to theirs as possible. You end up with a quality fence, and you make them think that if they had just waited a little longer, they could've had a free fence.

You should move.

You could train a grapevine on your side, so birds would poop on his. By that time he may sell to Cowboy fans. Who open a You Pull It 4X4 business

Wait what? I do not follow this. Is there a hole in the fencing?

There is a gap between where this new fence and an adjoining fence meet. If they had installed to code, where the finished side faces me, the gap would have been much smaller.

Even better would be to plant a mulberry tree up against it. Purple bird shit all over it and his yard.

And free mulberries!

I always read Billay's posts as "Scotty" so the tough guy schtick entertains me.

I picture him as Uncle Rico posting from his van at a McDonalds parking lot pirating their customer internet.

Mulberries are one of the easiest things to grow. Hell, around here new ones pop up every spring when the birds start snacking. They even grow in the gutters.

Yep, we have one along another property line. I spend half the summer clearing out saplings growing all over the yard.

Sounds like you have a case in court if it’s against code. Personally, I’d fix the gap myself and be happy with it.

Pretty easy to report them for a code violation. If it was done correctly, I assume you prefer it over the see through picket?

I am trying to decide if I want to report him or just do some landscaping that will hide the stupid thing.

I would report him, as the finished side should face your property.

Yep.

The only tree that's as bad or worse is maple.
