All of this DC animosity over a stadium that's in an amazing climate and has been opened for two years with various summer events that people are just now learning doesn't have A/C because it's going to reach scorching highs in the 90s tomorrow is pretty hilarious in a we aren't going to make it, are we kind of way.

LMAO! Heat wave? Try living in Louisiana! Humidity AND high temperatures! Well the Caesars Dome is well air conditioned and cost WAAAAAYYYYY less! :thumb:

I was walking into a Royals/Dodgers game in LA a few years ago and heard several comments/complaints about how hot and humid it was.... IIRC, it was like 86° with 35% humidity in early July.

They really are spoiled. LMAO

Yes they are! I watch Sam the Cooking Guy on YouTube and he whines about the heat in San Diego! Really? LMAO!

Right now it's still and humid. 59% humidity in Redondo Beach where I live. I guess a hurricane is coming to Mexico and we're getting the edge of it.

We're practically neighbors bro, go Chiefs!

Gonna be a sick swell!

Exactly. High temp in Inglewood, the location of the stadium, is 91 degrees tomorrow. Lots of early season football games are played in 90+ degree weather.

Example of folks that have no clue what they are talking about regarding the climate of Southern California. Inglewood is a few miles from the coast, temperatures are moderated by this big body of water called the Pacific Ocean.

Yeah, a few miles up the 405 in the Valley it's going to be 20 degrees hotter, but SOCAL in general has many micro-climates.

**** California

TripleThreat 09-08-2022 08:40 AM

I didn't realize that while their stadium has a roof, but the sides are completely open (in most areas).

I'm not super updated on stadiums and air conditioning, SHOULD they have AC?? Places like Green Bay and SF( Santa Clara) their stadiums are outdoor and I dont think they have AC either, so they'd be ****ed, no??

I was shocked to hear that AC is not common in many places in California. San Luis Obispo area I know for sure many homes do not have AC built in because it is not necessary most times.

Google says the average high temperature in Inglewood, CA for the months of July and August is 75 and 76 degrees.

I moved out to North County San Diego 35+ years ago from Kansas City and just about every place I've lived doesn't have AC. The first 25 years never had a day that I wish I had it, but the last 10+ we are starting to get hotter and more humid days. I bought a portable AC for sleeping..95+% of the time don't need one though...

RickObie 09-08-2022 09:08 AM

Also - went to Sofi a few times...open sides on stadium...no need for AC - it would be like running it at your house and opening all of the windows...
