I never figured that the Giants flipped us a sure thing WR1 for a third round pick.

Toney always struck me as a bit of an odd dude from a personality perspective. Maybe the type to one day decide being a DJ was more important than a NFL career...

Given his athleticism and injury history I figured he was going to be a boom/bust candidate.

For rolling the dice with a third round pick, I was hoping there was going to be more boom at least when he was healthy. But so it goes.

Toney would be fine as a punt returner/gadget player… but to rely on him to be a starting WR… which the Chiefs were counting on before the season… is a massive failure by Veach/Andy.

I’d look at trying to get Diggs. Awesome receiver and I’ve always had respect for him. He always loves the Chiefs as well. Him and Toney were having a 15 min convo before the game
