Playing less football is much safer than playing football. I don't even know how you could dispute.

If Mahomes or Kelce go down with injury, we are done. I'm more worried about Kelce than anything. He's taking a beating this year because we were too stupid to get another WR.

Why Not? 12-24-2023 11:34 PM

Definitely not next week. Perhaps in week 18 depending on how things shake out. But I don't see any scenario where the Chiefs don't have anything to play for in week 18. How's this...get up 38-0 at half on the Chargers and then sit everyone.

Denver can easily win out with their schedule, so we'd probably miss the playoffs if we did that. And even if we didn't, the #2 seed still carries significant value.

Welp

BWillie, it’s Christmas Eve so I’m going to be nice, but your posts above should be sent to all new members of CP as an example of how to not add any value to the CP experience.

Decades from now scholars will find my posts and be astonished that so many of you disagreed with me. It will be like when Galileo was imprisoned for disagreeing with the Catholic Church about the Earth being the center of the universe. It will like when Christopher Columbus sailed out to sea to prove the world was not round. It will be like the Egyptian hieroglyphics that foretold the future and showed our modern technology.

Only then will the prophecies of BWillie be truly fulfilled.

Remember the first Super Bowl team was a lock for the 3 seed until New England got upset and it landed us the 2 seed and eventually homefield in the AFC title game. Obviously we want Buffalo at home but we want Miami at home too, especially in January.

Browns already went into Baltimore and won once. So did the Colts with Minshew at QB. That's 2 of the current 3 wild card teams that have wins in Baltimore, and we know the Bills are capable of doing that. We want the 2 seed if we can get it.

Don't we have Miami to catch?

CupidStunt 12-25-2023 05:13 AM

Win out and let the chips fall. I'm hoping for the 2 rather than the 3, if not the 1, and avoiding Buffalo as the 6th seed. Cleveland seems likely the 5 with a soft schedule. Let's be real, give me any other wildcard imposter over a team with a legit QB.

Exactly, there’s plenty to play for and blowing off 3 games is a ridiculous idea.

Or more accurately it will be remembered like Christopher Walken sailing with Natalie Wood...

More likely those scholars will be astonished that you weren’t confined to a mental institution.

They’ll also point to that post as he halfway point in your streak of being wrong about a million things in a row.

Unfortunately the QB needs targets that can catch.
