Last night I was in a group of guys in a private match. We played the "Shipment" course (the small field of shipping containers) Free-for all, and KNIVES ONLY. It was wicked.

The knives only was a gentleman's agreement. Miraculously, everyone stuck to it the whole game. Not one shot fired.

My brothers have been wanting to borrow the PS3 for a while, so I let them, they're going to have it for a couple weeks, so I'm not ditching out on you, but I wont be able to play for a couple weeks.

How loud is the Blu-Ray player? What I mean is I like to use a console on my main tv to also perform as a DVD player. The 360 I have is about as loud as a Biplane in the room and is kind of distracting. Does the PS3 start spinning faster for Blu-Ray discs?

I've never really noticed it...but if I was looking for it I'm sure I would hear it. PS3 is everything but conservative...it's a freakin machine.

I got a 2 year warranty, i assume the ps3's are solid systems unlike that damn xbox 360...

I can't wait till school is out soon so i can start renting games...

All PS3's come with an automatic 1 year manufacturer's warranty from Sony. As long as you bought it from a store you should be covered.

Called em today...they're gonna send me a package to send it back and they are gonna send me a different unit...not sure if it will be brand new or refurb...either way I'm glad I don't have to pay anything other than time. Got 3 tests in the next 2 weeks anyway so it kinda works out good lol.

I just got ROCK BAND for PS3. I never played Guitar Hero before, so this was all new to me. Pretty cool. I like the drums best. But the kick pedal f***s you up! If it was just the four pads it would be a lot easier.

Bogus thing is: NO SECOND GUITAR! I guess they're making on and it will be out April 9th. If you want to have a guitar AND base, you have to find someone who also has their own setup and they have to bring their guitar over to use as base.

But they sell the drums separately? That comes with it! WTF?

Anyway, it's pretty cool to be playing something other than FPS games.

MGS4 looks insane...I'm pissed I never got into them back in the day.

yeah MGS2 was IMHO the most innovative of the series. while Raiden or how ever you spelled his name was rather annoying the games OUT OF LEFT FIELD storyline and new gameplay aspects were revolutionary for its time. id a recomended replay in my book.

Picked up a PS3 Wednesday with COD4 and MLB08: The Show. About wet myself with glee and I'm still going through all of the features. Got online last night on COD and was thoroughly pwned by prepubers but I haven't had that much fun in awhile. I also had difficulty setting up wireless network. After a number of frustrating hours I came upon the simple fix...firmware update for my router. Man was I pissed at myself but all is well. Tonight I'm going to try to set up the headset and then pull an all nighter. The wife is going to love that.

As for the headset i take it that its a bluetooth? we've had a mixture of good luck and bad luck with using those. i gave in and got a usb :huh:

um, yes it wont come with HDMI so... go out and get the CHEAPEST HDMI cable you can find. DO NOT SPEND 80 - 100 bucks.. i repeat... do not spend really anything over 20. get the cheapest HDMI you can find. some have posted links to the online site that has them for like 15 bucks-ish. those will do.

1 Game that I owned and turned back less than a week after I bought and beat it is Lost: Via Domus.

I love the show lost, but that is the shittiest piece of shit I have ever played.

COD5 - Doesn't come out for a while, but interested to see if it can improve at all.

Cro, nights are good except for Wed's. thats the new night i have class. as for the HS i think that was network issues (meaning AO2's issues) im hoping there fixed.

I think I'm going to get Call of Duty 4 and The Show sooner or later. I bought NCAA 2K8 today. I'm getting my ass kicked from a little kid from Arkansas right now. Weams is raining treys on my ass. in fact, I had a "guys only' baby shower for a friend at work and we grilled, and played rock band. And watched the KU/NC game and then went bowling. It was a friggen hit!

Yeah it actually gets pretty tough. Definitely a lot of strategy/puzzle solving. but just like figuring out "hey, so what do we need to push/pull/knock-over/ jump onto to get past this thing?

I'll let you know when/how to get public betas for games as soon as I find out they're available. I'm not sure if there's just the usual demo releases they have on PSN or more full stuff.

The Show is crack for a baseball fan. I'm working on Road to the show and my wife asked me if I had been lost to PS3...I said perhaps. The next few nights I have to make a concerted effort to spend time with her. I am a bad person.

Beat COD4 last night and loved the ending. I will be playing through again, this time on easy, so I can feel good about myself in the morning.

I'll be adding you jamokes to the friend list so I can have at least one or two adults kick my ass at COD4, I f'n hate kids today. They need to get outside more.
