Have any of you ever been to a live UFC fight. I'm thinking about flying down for one in Feb.

They could have minimized his pain, he just didnt want to get flatout embarrassed.

I think he is already a confirmed fight for the finale. Most are speculating Houston Alexander. Announced tonight on the show.

I'm shocked, White looked & sounded quite disappointed. I guess he's not ready to say goodbye to the ratings boost yet.

Feel bad for Big Baby. Hate Rampage. What a douche.

Yes, been to two so far. If you have great seats it's cool. Spendy these days though.

Same - I liked seeing Roy knock that cocky grin off of James' face.

Especially when he stuck his chin out like Nelson couldn't hit him.

Iowanian 12-03-2009 02:00 PM

I thought it was pretty funny when Ole Limey stuck his chin out to taunt and got in knocked off. that said, I don't like the fatboy at all.

I thought bigbaby had shaub ready for a nap when he got full mount. Couldn't believe that he got up and KO'd him.

Bigbaby is fighting Matt Bitchrione saturday. I hate that guy too.

Fatcountrys weight will catch up to him sooner or later, he'll be huffing, puffing & unable to swing his heavy hands.

they have been talking about the Kimbo/Alexander fight for awhile now.

Chiefnj2 12-03-2009 02:40 PM

Dana gets down on Big Country who has earned his shot, but embraces Kimbo who hasn't earned anything. As long as Kimbo can make some money Dana will give him fights.

Thats true, i actually read it here but forgot.

Still, even had i not known that, White looked like he'd basically given up on him. He's always acted somewhat skeptical about him.

Iowanian 12-03-2009 03:08 PM

Houston Alexander is the closest thing White could give Kevin Slice to a stand up, back yard slug fest.

That actually is an appealing fight as a fan because I think someone is going to get their head taken off of their shoulders in about 1 minute. It's not going to be a ground match...it's going to be 2 guys coming to the middle to throw bombs. I like those fights.

Dana just wanted him on the Ultimate Fighter. He will get his chance now.

Crashride 12-03-2009 04:14 PM

This is the first time i've actually watched an entire season and I dont know why I did. All the fighters are garbage and are going to get murdered when they fight legit competition. I kinda hope nelson wins so I can watch some real heavyweights dismatle that fat f***

Dana ****in hates Roy Nelson, he'll probably pit him against Carwin or Velasquez soon just to get him smashed.

Looking forward to the finale tonight, Slice/Alexander will be a Mad Minute at the least.

I have nothing against "Big Country" but he thinks he's exciting to watch and that's just crazy...lol And while not fair to some of the other fighters why wouldn't you wanna see Kimbo at least one more time :) Should make for an interesting night of fights.

yeh the cocky Brit got cold cocked. I also wanna see Bigbaby kick the shit outta Matt. I must say I underestimated Matt due to all his whining and bitching.

KcMizzou 12-05-2009 08:11 PM

Go Big Baby.

KCTitus 12-05-2009 08:15 PM

Roy Nelson is fatter than I am...and he's fighting for TUF title...WTF.

I cant stand him and his BS

KCTitus 12-05-2009 08:22 PM

Big Baby...needs a stand up game. He's too big not to have a punch

KcMizzou 12-05-2009 08:24 PM

Wow... so much for that.

It was bad...I think he gassed halfway through the first round and should have been KO'ed with all those sad attempted takedowns that were ripe for a knee to the head.

He needs a lot of work if he's going to be serious MMA contender.

Easy 6 12-05-2009 08:51 PM

I'm looking forward to seeing Matt Hamill again, i havent seen much of him since he was completely robbed & jobbed against Bisping in England a few years ago. Maybe a fight after that, but otherwise bupkis.

He can really swing a brutal looking meathook to match his wrestling.

Easy 6 12-05-2009 09:01 PM

Hogan is a total ****ing wreck in this interview... Brother!

He looks coked up & stupid, even as that chick looks on with a worried expression, 'dont BLOW it you coked up moran?!...'

WTF is Dana White doing messing with that stuff...seriously, I wouldnt want that taint on the UFC

KcMizzou 12-05-2009 09:18 PM

Kimbo vs. Alexander next....

Watch it end up being a ground battle..lol

KCTitus 12-05-2009 09:22 PM

That would be funny...I'd like to see Kimbo succeed. He'd be a good draw for UFC and it would be good for him.

One thing is clear, he's not getting a free ride into the UFC...as it should be.

stlchiefs 12-05-2009 09:29 PM

wow this is boring.

KCTitus 12-05-2009 09:31 PM

This tells me that Alexander is afraid of Kimbo

Easy 6 12-05-2009 09:37 PM

AAAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

KIMBO! THE SLAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

stlchiefs 12-05-2009 09:37 PM

if he thinks he's going to win by injuring his front leg he's wrong. Kimbo has a chance to finish this round.

stlchiefs 12-05-2009 09:38 PM

Kimbo obviously doesn't have submission down yet. just beat the shit out of his face and finish it.

KCTitus 12-05-2009 09:39 PM

alexander doesnt want any of Kimbo...none of him.

KCTitus 12-05-2009 09:46 PM

not impressed by either fighter, but I'd give it to Kimbo based on the 2nd round

KcMizzou 12-05-2009 09:52 PM

I went into the fight not knowing who I wanted to root for.

After watching Alexander circle the whole first round, I was rooting for Kimbo.

Alexander wanted no part of standing toe to toe with Kimbo.

(And I hope BJ ruins Diego)

KCTitus 12-05-2009 09:59 PM

Alexander struck me as the kind of guy that wasnt afraid of anyone...and he went 100% puss against Kimbo.

Anyone who wanted to actually fight Kimbo would have gone in there and most likely whipped some Slice ass...

Instead we got what we got...Dana has to be happy. best of both worlds

Yeah, I'm pretty shocked that Alexander wasn't willing to stand and bang. That's pretty much the only way he ever wins.

Galileo Humpkins 12-05-2009 10:07 PM

I only tuned in for Hulk Hogan and Dixie Carter, tbh.

I find choreographed fighting more enticing than tedious Greco-Roman hugfests. Though, I mark for the occasional uppercut decapitation.

Easy 6 12-05-2009 10:07 PM

Mother of God, Bones Jones is for real...

Amazing quickness & brutal style.

KcMizzou 12-05-2009 10:09 PM

Holy shit... that was a brutal beating.

Bullshit. Even without the illegal shot, he won that fight.

In any case, I love Jone's style. I'm looking forward to seeing him fight again.

KcMizzou 12-05-2009 10:44 PM

Pullin' for Schaub here.

Big Country already has an MMA career. He'll be fine.

KcMizzou 12-05-2009 10:45 PM

OMG...

Roy comes out to Weird Al's "I'm Fat".

I may have to reconsider. LMAO

KcMizzou 12-05-2009 10:56 PM

LMAO

Wow! Didn't realize he had that kinda power.

KCTitus 12-05-2009 10:58 PM

A rather unorthodox person to win TUF...but, ok...lets see him further himself in UFC just like Kimbo Slice.

LiL stumppy 12-05-2009 10:58 PM

that was fast lol

KcMizzou 12-05-2009 11:00 PM

Damned entertaining for a free show.

Big Country is the new Tank Abbot.

I've seen Nelson fight a few times on HDNET... he was a bit of a ringer going into the season. He's a legitimate MMA pro fighter, looks aside.

Dana may try to give him bad matchups... to prove that the UFC is just that much of a higher level.

Of course it's also possible that a guy like that who's legitimately a good fighter, is good for business.

Willie Lanier 12-05-2009 11:23 PM

wow, I lost a lot of respect for Brendan's overall boxing skill, as well as his chin, that may have been a thump with some gut behind it but that wasn't pinpoint accuracy by any means... He'll get those routinely in the big boy cage, better learn to deflect them better or toughen up... Damn that's disappointing I've been pulling for him this whole show and every fight after that lucky slip tap against Demico I thought he was showing overall improvement... shows how much I know...

I think he'll be fine. I was rooting for him too.

Roy Nelson is no chump. I know he looks like he just drug his ass off the couch... but that's not the case. The dude's a talented, and very experienced fighter. No shame in losing to him at this stage.

Jerm 12-06-2009 01:23 AM

Roy Nelson is awesome and hilarious, that's all. Loved seeing him KO Schaub's cocky ***.

Mazzagatti is the worst ref in the history of MMA and a disgrace to the sport...the guy has no clue what he's doing and almost every time he refs a fight, there is some kind of controversy.

Why on earth does he go to take a point away from Jones to DQ'ing him??? If anything, it's a No Contest. The reason it was a ridiculous decision is because Mazzagatti didn't even have the cut checked out by a doctor to see if Hamill could continue, which more than likely he could've continued.

All he did was ask him if he was done and stopped it on his own....Hamill couldn't continue because of his shoulder, not because of the cut. Mazzagatti being the idiot he is just assumed it was because of the cut and therefore gave Hamill a DQ victory.

He should've took a point away, had the doctor check the cut out, and then the fight would've continued.

The guy is just beyond terrible.

Anyways, Jones is the truth. He absolutely manhandled a great wrestler like no one has ever done. The dude is only going to get better with age, he will be the UFC LHW Champion one day...bank on it.

I was definitely impressed with Jones. And that strike shouldn't be illegal anyway.

TRR 12-06-2009 11:56 AM

Good fights last night! I was expecting a better return to the cage for Marcus Jones, but was exposed as a very one dimensional fighter. Even his take down skills are subpar. When he can't overwhelm fighters with his size, he is dead in the water.

Kimbo looked like a much improved fighter. He still needs a lot of work, but always has a punchers chance. It's nice to see Kimbo go in with a game plan, and stick to it. He closed the distance with Houston, and lowered the boom. Impressive win as not many people in the "know" ever thought Slice would beat Alexander. I heard all about Alexander's striking ability and Muay Thai skills that would end Slice fast....not so.

Nelson had so much more experience than any other fighter in the house. I watched Nelson fight a ton in the IFL, and drove a couple of fighters around when the IFL was young. He's fat and out of shape, but can take a punch and is quick on his feet. He will smother you on the ground. Nothing has changed about Roy since his IFL days.
