They should. The best football being played in the big12-2-1-1 is in the state of Kan. KSU

Maybe if it was February instead of October. Like I was saying, basketball/football. Apples/oranges. Cassel/Brady. Best Choice toilet paper/Charmin toilet paper.

Even the best teams in the NCAA tournament have a very low chance at winning it due to its crapshoot nature (and the nature of basketball itself). Check out the shit final we had early this season between UConn and Butler. That's pretty much the norm. It's a rarity when the two best teams make it through the March gauntlet unscathed (like with KU/Memphis). Football is WAY different (and better, IMO, in how they decide a champion).

You guys are tied to Texas as much as we are, I hate to tell you.

Will get OU's best effort. Be fun to watch.

UT is a cash cow. We are tied to OSU more.

No conference would turn down OU by itself.

As bad as OU basketball is, why would I ever bet on a Turner Gill football team?

I tried watching this last game.. but shit the Hawaii broadcast team is awful.

Then you should have gotten out while you had the chance, but you didn't.

As much as I'm enjoying the back and forth between you twerps, I gotta get to bed. OU fan is pissed because they lost, KU fan is rubbing salt in the wounds. Have fun with your pointless debate for the next hour fellas.

See now you can both hate me for unjustly calling you twerps and pointing out the emotion behind every post you've made the last hour. Now you can gang up on me, kiss and make up, and forget all about it. It's that easy to turn the tide. But I'll be asleep. :(

Realignment isnt being driven by athletics at OU right now. Aggies got the sec invite that was open to OU. Academia at OU would rather be associated with the Pac 12. For obvious reasons. OU has an out. OU football and its revenue isnt going anywhere nor will it fall by the waste side. OU is doing fine.

If OU wants to be the team they think they are, they show up in Manhattan and work KSU over. Uncle Bill will be a tough cookie to crack. Teams and coaches that know each other well. Should be a quality road win. Unlike LSU which after this week only has Oregon still ranked.

Too bad, you'll miss the Rugby World Cup final. Those guys are insane and a New Zealand loss to France would be an even bigger upset than OU to TT.

Although, I doubt this forum even has a thread for that.

Of the talking heads, Mark May says they're done, Holtz gave them a small chance.

Except none of the other NC contenders are going to have a Texas Tech loss at home on their record which will become an issue when the voters decide who deserves to be there.

I know its football and you dont understand. But winning on the road against 2 top 10 teams after your loss will be big in the minds of voters.

FloridaMan88 10-23-2011 01:13 AM

The BCS should really take into consideration teams who don't play an away game until the end of October.

Wisconsin's first road game of the season was tonight at Michigan State. It is freaking October 22nd, 7 games into the season and Wisconsin finally plays a road game.

As the fraud Badgers found out tonight... life gets a little tougher when you aren't feasting on cupcakes in the confines of your own stadium.

Not bigger than dominating the superior SEC conference all season, I'm sure.

Wrong.

You need a lot to happen. Not having a conf. champ. game really hurts OU. An undefeated Stanford or Clemson and a 1-loss Wisconsin, Oregon, Arkansas, LSU, or Bama would all get to the NC game before a 1-loss OU who doesn't play a conf. champ. game.

I dont see Clemson losing. & like I said. after championship Saturday. You know that day where OU will be home sitting on its ass. OU has zero chance.
But you keep thinking that way lil Sooner fan.
Delusional OU fan.

Won't finish ahead of any of the undefeated teams.

& several 1 loss teams. At best with no more losses this season. OU # 5 in the final pole.

Yep. The quality of wins OU can potentially get are high, he's right about that, but when voters compare the 1-loss teams they also look at the loss, and losing at home to Texas Tech is a lot worse than losing on the road to Michigan State, as an example.

you give voters too much credit. for example, many coaches in the poll don't even complete their own ballot. Those that do often have nothing more than the final score to go on....they don't have the time nor inclination to delve any deeper. As the season progresses all they see is the L count.

OU was a 30 point favorite in this one. I think people will notice.
