I wonder if the Seahawks would let Trufant go for a low pick. He isn't what he used to be but he's still worlds better than Reeves.

The only difference it would make would be to the idiots who think Flowers is going to play after missing 6 weeks and having yet to go full speed in practice.

What competitive advantage does it give them to keep it a secret?

I was patient. Been patient with the FO. Hell with it. If you can't find a replacement for Flowers that's better than Reeves, GTFO and take your way with you.

I was worried that blowing up the FO would set this all way back. But, I'm not too sure. Look at the 9ers. They were awful two years ago. Blew it up, now, they might be the best team in the NFC.

see I learned and picked up on this "Patriot Way" crap last season with the Sabby Piscitelli thing all season long. So when this season came around, I knew if a guy went down or there was some phantom injury they could hide that some turd like Jacques Reeves would play. In fact, I expected it. The Tamba suspension was the cherry on top. Scott Pioli is awful. And all these situations prove that

Because Brown and Flowers are out.

Duh.

Why do they need a competitive edge to keep something a "secret?"

We know he's hurt. We know he's unlikely to play. Wtf do you need to know the exact injury? Because it would make a difference if you knew it was because of a broken toe, sprained ankle, or some other foot injury?

Remember when you infect every thread with this shit? Yeah we get it, Reeves is terrible. It's not something we all don't know.

KCUnited 09-13-2012 01:56 PM

I'm not sure they know. They sent him to several different doctors and seem to be trying to get him on the field, but he just can't go, indicating it's not an injury that has x-much shelf live.

dont get mad at a fellow fan, get mad at Scott Pioli

O.city 09-13-2012 01:57 PM

If you are going to be secretive about stuff like this, fine. If you are going to be an arrogant jackass about stuff, fine.

But you damn well better win. Win, and I don't give a shit what you do.

But don't do all that, then get pissy when the fans boo your starting qb at a softball game.

Why keep it a secret if it serves no other useful purpose?

We don't know he's unlikely to play. They've been saying he "might" play for going on a month.

Or let some lackey tell them to go root for another team...

O.city 09-13-2012 02:00 PM

The fact that there was a chance that a CB who hasn't played the game in 2 years, could start for your team, is a damn shame. It's like we can't upgrade more than a couple positions per year.

Last year our safeties and rbs were shit. We upgraded those spots. Oline was spotty, upgrade.

Pioli has no foresight until something becomes a problem. Well, this was obviously a problem when you can't draft/develop one of the 30 CB's you bring on.

O.city 09-13-2012 02:01 PM

You know the reason all this shit worked in New England? The secrets, bullshit excuses etc?

Because they won. Winning cures everything.

Damn Pioli for not knowing before hand that 3 CB's would get injured before the season!

Nah. It worked because you aren't a fan of the Patriots and didn't care about injuries on their team. But when it the Chiefs...

3? Flowers and Brown?

Even so, our 3rd Cb is a guy who hasn't played in the NFL for 2 years and wasn't that great to begin with.

Meanwhile, our CB we drafted in the second round two years ago, can't step outside and play corner?

Shit, Cliff Harris, an all american at Oregon is available. Think he would be better than Reeves?

Menzie.

And Menzie has done what to show he would be better than Reeves?

Nothing. You were bitching about starting someone that hasn't played in 2 years. Pretty sure Menzie played football last season.

O.city 09-13-2012 02:10 PM

Menzie wasn't gonna start. Hell, I bet he isn't even hurt that bad, they just didn't want to release him or PS him.

No shit he wasn't going to start. But I bet he would be if he weren't injured and Flowers and Brown were down.

mcaj22 09-13-2012 02:13 PM

Flowers has been out for well over a month+

if these idiots werent doing this phantom injury shit and knew it was going to spill into the season there was no reason to never not sign more CBs when it was TRAINING CAMP AND YOU CAN HAVE LIKE ****ING 90 guys on the roster. They did nothing.
It's not like Flowers got hurt a week before the season started. Pioli had a month, did nothing but be a fat ****

O.city 09-13-2012 02:14 PM

Hell, Vontae Davis was available for a second round pick.

Chiefs Pantalones 09-13-2012 02:47 PM

Flowers was a full participant today according to Arrowhead Addict.

Chiefs get Brandon Flowers back on the field
Posted by Darin Gantt on September 13, 2012, 4:49 PM EDT

As much as they missed outside linebacker Tamba Hali last week, the Chiefs were also hobbled by the absence of cornerback Brandon Flowers.

The good news is, they may get both back this week.

Hali’s back to work after his suspension, and Flowers practiced fully today. According to Randy Covitz of the Kansas City Star, it’s his first full day of work since July 31.

Flowers has been bothered by a bruised foot, and how he responds tomorrow will be an important indicator for Sunday’s

Still not sure it's a good idea for him to play after one day of full practice in a month.

holding out that last string of hope of no Jacques Reeves when it is very clear there will be plenty of Jacques Reeves beatdowns by the Bills this Sunday. Which makes for sickening television if you are a Chiefs fan.

Haha

It's the NFL, if they are close enough to being healthy they play. They don't get paid to nancy out.
