But Tyshawn never tried to transfer and then change his mind.

Following second meeting with Bill Self, guard Rio Adams decides he will transfer from KU
http://www2.kusports.com/news/2013/a...ard-rio-adams/ |
I'm guessing Bill told him he won't ever play even if he stays all 4 years.
|
Bill had to let him go. He has some talent, but he's been bringing too much drama to the team, attracting the wrong kind of attention. He'll land somewhere and play all he wants.

Sure does suck seeing freshman leave before they've fully matured and blossomed.
I think he could have been pretty decent. But, in Self I trust. |
News conference for tomorrow with Self and BMAC at 230

Self: [paraphrasing] "We feel our recruiting class in underrated, but we still would like to add a piece or two..."

JayhawkSlant@JayhawkSlant1m
Bill Self said Kansas would like to add a player or two to its incoming recruiting class. #kubball |

I'm completely blown away by this startling revelation. :p |
Other than Wiggins who is KU targeting?
|

Possible Recruits SF ***** Andrew Wiggins SG *** Isaiah Lewis PF *** Treshawn Bolden ;) |
After Kevin Ware got injured... that solidified any "Will BMac come back or not!?".

@DannyParkins: Bill Self on the Drive just now: "We don't have all our guys in line yet, at least I hope we don't." Andrew Wiggins anyone?
|
@DannyParkins: Self basically came on the air and said, and I'm paraphrasing here, 'Don't worry, we'll be damn good again next year. Peace.'

I thought we'd get Julius Randle before we'd get Wiggins. It seemed to me that Wiggins wasn't too excited during his official visit. I hope I'm wrong, though.
|
so bill has three scholarships to give out still correct?
|
Yep, we only have 5 scholarship players returning in Tharpe, White, Traylor, Lucas, and Ellis.
5 incoming, with 3 left over to make 13. |
KU is reportedly interested in Tarik Black who recently graduated from Memphis and is eligible to play ASAP.
6'9" 260 post player. I wouldn't be opposed to snagging him with only one year of eligibility left. |

He was voted team captain, yet, surprisingly missed a game or two early in the season with some type of attitude issue. Word was he was thinking of quitting/transferring at that point, but came back. From that point forward, he was first big off the bench (instead of starting) behind Shaq Goodwin, but still played 25 or so minutes a game. By all accounts he's a good guy. He's bright (graduated in 3 years) and he won't hurt the team that gets him. Just don't expect too much. |

Bill Self is great at getting the best out of bigs; but that's over the course of multiple years. We shall see. |

The more big bodies, the better IMO.
Especially using a scholarship for one year on him. |
Matt Scott of The Shiver is saying that he heard from 3 different sources that Andrew Wiggins is leaning towards KU.
Don't do it. |

FWIW, Wiggins recently started following Tharpe on twitter.
Get hope. lol Having said that, Wiggins is pretty much following the whole UK class. Tharpe is recent though. |
Man I'm excited for next year...I give thee Brannen Greene! :D wowzaz!
Kid looks like Reggie Roby to me for some reason... <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/dv0EY67rORo?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Even without Wiggins this could be our best class ever... |

Makes you wonder why we play Duke, Mich State, Kentucky, Ohio State, on and on. I guess we don't fear them as we do Wich State. |

As a freshman at Kansas, he will make an immediate splash with his inside scoring, short jumper and shot-blocking abilities. By the time he’s a sophomore for the Jayhawks, expect him to dominate the paint. He’s not a household name yet but he could be after his time at Kansas. When it’s all said and done, Embiid might end up being the best big man Bill Self has ever coached...
Biggest sleeper: Joel Embiid Embiid is the best player in the game whom most people don’t know much about, but that could very well change after the JBC. At 7-foot, he makes short jumpers and jump hooks and also block shots well. It’s an understatement to say he’s rapidly improving. He can also shoot the 3 real well for a 7 footer. |
Adam Finkelstein @FinkelsteinNERR
Joel Embiid has a lot to learn but his talent level is off the charts. One of best NBA prospects here IMO. Nice compliment from ESPN's Finkelstein for Embiid. |
