Me, too. Something blew up. I'll let cdcox know.

League 1 is still up and running.

I'm on it. I'm pretty sure I know what happened, related to old dog's problem earlier.

I wanted to take Andrew Luck with my next pick so I probably broke it.

I think the league should penalize him by taking away his next pick.

I'm really surprised that he's slipped this far.

cdcox 05-23-2013 09:41 PM

Had to take it down for the night. It will be up first thing in the morning.

cdcox 05-23-2013 10:00 PM

We're back up. That problem won't occur again.

cdcox 05-23-2013 10:05 PM

No more draft clocks will expire until 8:00 EST tomorrow morning.

cdcox 05-23-2013 10:19 PM

What happened was that Round Rock tried to draft Burris via autopick. He was gone by an earlier pick by old dog. Since I had to make the Burris pick for old dog by manually altering the database, the subroutine that clears him out of people's draft boards didn't run. The software didn't allow the pick to be made ("player is no longer available") but it was just stuck in that mode. Now, instead of displaying that message, it will blast the player out of everyone's draft board and go to the next player on the draftboard of the owner that is on the clock.

Rain Man 05-23-2013 10:21 PM

Anchorage and Rancho Cucamonga continue the cornerback run.

TambaBerry 05-23-2013 10:26 PM

Looking to move back up let me know anyone

I actually didn't want Jeff Allen. I was getting the same message as tambaberry when trying to log in and make my pick. I guess it drafted for me. I must have had it on autopick or something, which is odd because now that its working again, it doesn't show that I've even selected the autopick checkbox. I got screwed out of that pick! :banghead:

I checked the database and it shows that your time ran out. It would have taken the top player on your draft board, regardless of whether the box was checked.

If you're having a problem, please let us know. We were all waiting on your pick and speculating as time ran out.

In the meantime, Little Rock will offer you our next pick (#81) for Jeff Allen if you don't need him.

TambaBerry 05-23-2013 11:34 PM

I'd trade you a guard for that pick

MagicHef 05-23-2013 11:43 PM

I am loving my draft so far.

It's not that big of a deal really. Lets just keep this baby rollin'! I should probably re-do my draft board too I guess. ;)

TambaBerry 05-24-2013 05:49 AM

If anyone is on at all and have an upcoming pick, I really want to move up

TambaBerry 05-24-2013 06:30 AM

Damn it seems nobody set up autopick, might take a really long time.

allen_kcCard 05-24-2013 07:17 AM

Hey Old Dog...since you have OP, want to start updating the frist post with the picks every so often in a spoiler maybe? I'll see if whoever has our OP on league 1 will as well.

Old Dog 05-24-2013 07:43 AM

Yeah, will do. Gimme a minute.

Old Dog 05-24-2013 07:47 AM

Better?

Will update occasionally and will include the next 10 upcoming picks as well in case anyone is looking to move up or down.

just sent you a message on the site
my next 2 for your next four would net me a 42.3 point loss on the value chart.......I don't mind coming up on the short end, but not by that much.

Rain Man 05-24-2013 08:46 AM

Little Rock announces that it has traded the #81 pick in the draft to St. Louis in exchange for guard Stephen Peterman.

TambaBerry 05-24-2013 08:55 AM

St Louis issues a statement saying they're sad to see Stephen go and wish him luck. We needed more depth across a lot of positions so we felt this was best for our organization.

Depending on who's available, would you consider Rancho Cucamonga's 91 and 163 to move up a few spots? We have a couple of particular targets we don't want to lose.

Sully 05-24-2013 09:08 AM

As I made my pick, it chose a different player for me. I don't know if I happened to run out of time just as I picked, or if something was screwed up. Any help?

TambaBerry 05-24-2013 09:09 AM

ya it ran out of time

Old Dog 05-24-2013 09:15 AM

I lose quite a bit on the points, but I'm stockpiling for 2014....and an "i" is missing in transaction

Thank you.....I don't know that I disagree much. I know I certainly lost points on the chart (even admitted to it in the original trade conversation) but with no IR, but I'm over the roster limit already. I think the guys I'm still after may last for a while yet, especially since they didn't do much at all last year.

I'm happy with it too....one more guy who wasn't on my list for 107 has been taken

TambaBerry 05-24-2013 10:27 AM

I have the best rushing attack in the league and no quarterback. Taking the best kicker in the league was the right thing to do in my book.

Rain Man 05-24-2013 10:34 AM

Offense sells tickets, defense wins games, and kicking wins championships. Except for the Chiefs, of course.

Old Dog 05-24-2013 10:39 AM

Bro, you may have the best RUNNING BACKS in the league, but with that offensive line, you won't be in the top 10 in rushing yards.
IT ALL MATTERS HERE

TambaBerry 05-24-2013 10:48 AM

That line is fine.

OK, have fun with that......or maybe we just have a different definition of "fine"

LT = Backus is only available for 14 games and McKinnie sucks
LG - there's not anyone that has played LG on the roster
C - Meester is average at center
RG - not terrible, but patchwork
RT - Collins is only available for 3 games and Pashos sucks

TambaBerry 05-24-2013 12:00 PM

by the way, maurice jones-drew is still available if anyone wants to throw a trade at me.

TambaBerry 05-24-2013 12:03 PM

Damn the guy who just pick has a draft board and we still have to wait the full hour lol, I really wish he would have locked it.

patteeu 05-24-2013 01:38 PM

Oops, sorry, I forgot to check my box. I was refreshing for the whole hour leading up to my pick and my last refresh was with 1 minute left on the clock. Then I got distracted and when I went back about a half hour later, I'd been on the clock for... well... about a half hour.

The Eskimos are on the clock.

Rain Man 05-24-2013 01:53 PM

Anchorage is talking about a deal. We're watching the clock and will pick soon.

TambaBerry 05-24-2013 02:44 PM

Throwing some constructive criticism towards this thing, Need to lower the amount of time people get to make a pick. Maybe make something that if you are getting low on time and need more you can add ten minutes or something to it for a max of an hour. People who are not on seems to slow things to a crawl.

Or maybe if you go the full time, your next alloted time is cut in half...so if someone is gone for a long time they take less and less time.

TambaBerry 05-24-2013 03:01 PM

Ya thats not bad, I also realize people have real lives and stuff like that. I just get a little itchy when I want to draft lol

Definitely need a shorter time.

bevischief 05-24-2013 03:23 PM

That is why I have autopick on and about 20 people lined up to draft to speed things along. I update as I have time thru out the day.

cdcox 05-24-2013 04:17 PM

Heh, I guess I'm the outlier as it moves too fast for me to keep up with. That's probably because most of the time I'm interacting with the game is fixing shit. I takes me at least 3 or 4 minutes to evaluate each player, and I'm still not happy with a lot of my picks.

cdcox 05-24-2013 04:56 PM

We'll run with a 30 minute draft clock tomorrow until the end of the draft.

With this recent news Pomona is offering up their remaining picks (107, 119, and 131)
for whatever they can get....no reasonable offer will be refused.

177 points in value.....I'll take a hit on the chart and for a future 3rd they're all yours.

how about for a single pick? I'm interested in 107 as long as the guy I want is still on the board.

4th

Old Dog 05-24-2013 06:35 PM

not looking to pick up any more picks in this years draft......won't be monitoring very closely tomorrow, hence the fire sale. I still don't care for the idea of speeding up the clock, especially on a holiday weekend, but I'm in the minority apparently so I'll deal with it and either get rid of my picks or autopick after my 30 minutes are up

I don't know why you think you're in the minority. I've only seen a couple of people out of 24 say they want a faster clock. I don't care one way or the other, although with the late rounds, I don't know that it matters that much who we all end up with. Very few of them will ever make much difference anyway.

Ebolapox 05-24-2013 06:46 PM

True. I like the hour clocks on earlier picks. Not a big deal to me.

Old Dog 05-24-2013 08:02 PM

TambaBerry 05-24-2013 08:36 PM

Whats the big deal about going down in time with these last picks? Its ok for probably the first 3 or 4 rounds but right now just make a draft board click autopick and lets get this done.

Old Dog 05-24-2013 08:38 PM

Some of us may have a life outside of this god damned game. Go drink some antifreeze you ****. Your whining is about to get on my last nerve.

I'm about to send this noob into an aids tree of red

Rain Man 05-24-2013 08:45 PM

Interesting phenomenon. I kept hearing people complaining about the long delays, so when cdcox and I talked about it, I thought it was good customer service to lower the time. My theory was that the people who were active didn't like the long waits and the people who were active didn't care. Apparently the people who were active and didn't mind the long waits were too polite to say disagree when others asked for a shorter time.

Old Dog 05-24-2013 08:48 PM

The only one I really saw whining was tambaberry. Mother****er didn't shut up about it. I'm about half tempted to nuke the bastard into oblivion just for the fun of it.

Allenkc mentioned something about folks timing out multiple times, but that's the only other I know of that had an issue.

TambaBerry 05-24-2013 08:58 PM

Dude, if I would have known someone would have been this mad about it I would have never said anything. I am saying for people who are here you can add more time if needed. People who are not logged in then it should be a shorter time. I also said I know people have real lives outside of this game. Besides when I could be on at home, I just waited for the email to reach my phone, went to the site saw who was available and picked my guy. If you're to busy when your pick comes an hour will not matter anyways.

Old Dog 05-24-2013 09:00 PM

With no idea that the time was going to be cut in half over a holiday weekend, I didn't feel the need to say anything. Had it been brought up by either of you as a "Hey, do ya'll want to" I would have voiced my opinion, I didn't think there was much likelihood of ya'll changing horses midstream for no apparent reason.

Rain Man 05-24-2013 09:21 PM

I've seen a few comments about it from people, and honestly I was wishing it was shorter, too. I figured that for those of you who have lives, you'd rather have a shorter time at the computer over the holiday weekend. No?

If it was the 2013 draft it would be different. We already have a year + a second off season of info on these guys.
At this point, it's just sorting out who has already washed out of the league.
All that's going to happen today (and tomorrow) is people googling names to not draft someone already out of the league.
That's boring as shit, no matter how much I enjoy this game.
So yes, do it, do it now.

rtmike 05-25-2013 02:40 PM

I dropped the ball sort of with my Center. I thought the German was still playing & didn't realize until last night that he hung it up in 2011.

Realize the 7th round won't net me anything but would move a pick next year to get me a starter.

lmk please, tia.

I might be able to work something out. Take a look at Seattle undertakers and see if anything strikes your fancy.

trndobrd 05-25-2013 04:13 PM

I assume the veteran draft will work the same way (autopick+go to bed=butts in seats). When will the veteran draft take place and what players will be drafted?
