It's past time to start looking for a legit Major League manager
|
I hope they fire the one who sucks the penis, but I see no signs it happening.

How about an Alex & Billy hate thread? They were disasters this year.

what realistic options will be available at the end of season for manager?
if edgar hasn't had an extention by now, SURELY he won't get one, will he? |

The guy has to be the biggest idiot to ever get a gig like this.
Is he laying down and trying to lose? Two nights in a row, you have one of your fastest guys on first with no outs, don't steal and get a double play turned against you, right in front of Hosmer hitting? Go **** yourself Ned Yost, you stupid ****. |

Yost is such a robot that losing doesn't change him at all ... that is beneficial to a team beaten down with losing for 2 decades. But when it comes time to actually win games and make a difference, Yost doesn't have a single ****ing clue what to do. He's still the robot reading from the Baseball For Dummies book. Yost doesn't know how to inspire or handle winning, he just knows how to take a beating and keep getting back up. Royals should follow Milwaukee's example and move on |
We may be approaching a tank of historic proportions. Something feels wrong. No fire or inspiration or leader ship whatsoever

Hope Ned gets dry fisted tonight while his family is forced to watch.

he better not be retained

Is Ned fired yet?

If Ned Yost is retained, I might throw in the towel.
I doubt he is, though. Moore will need a sacrificial lamb, and Nedley is an easy target. |

Ned will be back, and Dayton will be re-upped for another 5 years. We're right on track, Royals Fans!1!!!!!111111111111Juan Book it. |
As long as the Cardinals are in the playoff hunt, David Glass is in love with baseball.
|
I wish I was an un-loyal fan. I wish I was the guy that could just go follow another Team - one that gives a **** about baseball, and actually wins. I just can't dump this loser Franchise. I just can't:banghead:

Probably the easiest thing to do is just let this "all-in" Myers trade play itself out. Extend Ned through 2014 and let he and Dayton sink or swim in the last year of the Shields "win now" window. And if it's another .500-ish season, cut both loose and start over. Me, I'd can both now. But I don't see Glass doing that. I'd rather Glass keep both around for one more year than extend Moore and let him hire his third manager. Or let a lame-duck Moore hire someone. |
Ned Yost is as useful as a....." you fill in the blank"
Go! |

Is there still Jim Fregosi talk? He probably wouldn't take it with lame-duck Moore (not that I want him anyway). |
The answer is clearly not internally available. It has to be an outside hire. If I am david glass, moore doesn't get the last year of his deal given the myers trade. Bring in a new gm, preferably from the rays or athletics organizations

I always thought that was a cute set-up. Two hated cities teams loved by both. |
610 Sports said team was having a "closed door meeting" this afternoon.
Guess that means we're losers, because losers have meetings. |
For pure entertainment value, Wally Backman would be fun.
In all seriousness, I would be fine with: Matt Williams, Gabe Kapler, and....if he gets fired? Mike Scioscia. |

The snark on Royals Review Tuesday or Wednesday was, "What this team needs is a players-only meeting. That will fix things." LMAO |
I do agree with Nedgar on this:
Bob Dutton @Royals_Report 13m Yost on club meeting: "Forget all of the reasons. Forget all of the excuses. It's time to produce." |

If anyone knows Ned Yost, could you please deliver these messages to him?
1. David Lough is good at baseball. He doesn't need two or three days off every week. 2. Chris Getz is not good at baseball. He should never play. Ever. 3. Jamey Carroll is also not good at baseball. He should play rarely; perhaps occasionally against left-handed pitchers. 4. Louis Coleman is by far the best option for set-up man. He has earned an opportunity to pitch in games that are not 9-1 in the 6th inning. 5. Kelvin Herrera sucks at set-up man. He gives up home runs. 6. Lead-off hitters, in general, should have an OBP higher than .250. 7. Jarrod Dyson should attempt steals when he is on base. Especially if he's being used as a pinch runner. Especially when the offense has been terrible and needs a spark. Especially when you are playing the horrible, horrible White Sox and letting them sweep you. 8. Aaron Rodgers is better than Matt Flynn. Similarly, Danny Duffy is better than Wade Davis. |

Good to see Lough and Moose on the bench while Carroll and Getz start again.

Being a manager in MLB would be tough, more to it then meets the eye.
If I was manager I would be PMing some of you guys on what my roster lineup should be, who should I bring up, should I bring in Crowe or Hochevar etc. I would make it up to you by getting you some tickets to the games and I would have you meet Hudler to boot. |

Another great series of moves by Ned in the 9th. This guy has cost us at least 3 games.
|
****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!
|
Please God don't let him make it to spring training next year. Thanks for helping get us to a point where we're competitive, but it's time to take the next step. Ned has got to go to get us there. Hopefully at the end of the season he gets his walking papers.
|
I no longer buy the theory that a manager is only worth a few games each year. maybe that is the difference between a great one and an average one. But an incompetent one is destroying the Royals. Not to mention a few games is the difference between making the playoffs or not at this point. Can you imagine what Terry Francona would have done with this team? He took a completely shitty organization in the Indians with like zero pieces and turned them into a playoff contender over night.

9. Carlos Pena should never, ever bat. Especially not as a pinch hitter in the 9th inning of the biggest game of the year. |
I missed the last two innings...wha happened?
|
He pinch hit Carlos Pena for Jarrod Dyson with runners at 2nd and 3rd, 1 out in the 9th, down by 1.
Carlos "I strike out at least twice every at bat" Pena. |

10. You don't play for ties on the road 11. Just because you have 40 players on the roster doesn't mean each one has to play in every close game. This isn't little league. 12. David Lough can play a passable CF if needed for a few innings |

Jayson Stark was on Petro's show wondering what the hell Ned was thinking in the 9th inning.
Also, one tidbit: He said he knows for a fact that Charlie Manuel would LOVE to manage the Royals. |

All a pipe dream. Ned will be back
Sadly :sulk: |
Holy shit!
Why does this loser still have his job? |
