Honestly I think that attendence won't even spike this year. College kids go back to KU and Mizzou and other places. It will take a year or two of winning to bring back big numbers consistantly. All that being said the K has had some great crowds this year.

The Tigers are a little too far out and playing too well for me to really worry about them much longer. A nice three game slide by them would sure be nice though.

Not to be the pessimist, but at this point in the season we pretty much know what the Royals are. A one game above 500 team. That's probably about where they will finish.

All the other teams ahead of us have played at least four more games than us except Cleveland has played three more. We seem further back than we really are.

Probably right. But we haven't had a chance to get our hopes up, only to have them destroyed, by this team in a while, so at least that's a nice change.

We also play Detroit 11 more times, and have a winning record against them so far this year. Obviously that doesn't foreshadow the future, but it's not a mathematical pipe dream either.

I disagree. Every month except May we have played at least four games above .500 so far (one more July game and we better win). If we do that in August and September as well we are sitting at 86 wins and just needing a few more wins to have a great shot at the playoffs.

Hard to say really. They've been so up and down. They've posted 3 months of decent baseball and 1 terrible month that has dragged them down.

It's just nice to care about baseball in late July. That's all I've asked for after 25 years of shit.
