He might have been better vs the 5, 6, 7 hitters, but Crow would have had the 7th with Davis in the 8th.

I think it's just frustrating because our bullpen has been nails the last couple years and now they're not.

Yep, I see no scenario where Duffy doesn't start an inning tonight with what might happen on Saturday.

MeatRock 04-30-2014 08:08 PM

100% of the tie game blame belongs to Duffy.

Great Expectations 04-30-2014 08:08 PM

Time for Yost to pull Huchison.

Duffy was coming in regardless. Maybe Ventura has a 10 pitch inning in the 6th, but I have no problem with Ned's call. Duffy has been bad the last two outings, but bringing him in, in that situation, is the right call.

MeatRock 04-30-2014 08:09 PM

We are going to miss Hoch like a mother****er this year i think.

DeezNutz 04-30-2014 08:09 PM

I think my general rule in terms of starting an inning would be: < 95 the pitcher goes back out. 95 or >, the pitcher sits unless it's late in the year and we're in the heat of the race.

In the former scenario, someone is getting loose in the pen as soon as the inning begins.

Give the starter the chance for a quick inning, but be prepared for a quick hook. Basically pulling the starter at 110 regardless.

Uh, 95%...

We had a chance to get a 3rd run and Gordon hit to the SS where the Ump then proceeded to not enforce the new rule. Bottom line is Alex gets the ball in the air and it's a SAC fly like it most likely should have been.

That's called having a plan and Ned Yost will have nothing of it.

petegz28 04-30-2014 08:11 PM

Great....Kelvin about to give the lead away

Great Expectations 04-30-2014 08:11 PM

Moar power, this sucks

gblowfish 04-30-2014 08:11 PM

I wonder who got Getz wife pregnant?

MeatRock 04-30-2014 08:11 PM

Bad mojo in this thread.

Simplicity 04-30-2014 08:15 PM

Our bullpen has been atrocious tonight, my God.

blake5676 04-30-2014 08:15 PM

Curiosity killed me and I had to look. Mostly because I hate Aaron Crow.

After that inning, Crow is allowing 72% of inherited runners to score this year. He's garbage. Not an excuse for Duffy...that inning is on him. But why he is ever allowed to try to get us out of jams is beyond me?

petegz28 04-30-2014 08:15 PM

Duffy completely sapped the life out of this game for us...we need a big play to get it back

SPchief 04-30-2014 08:16 PM

LMAO

Great AB Diaz.

MeatRock 04-30-2014 08:16 PM

Bautista for the 3 run jack?

ChiTown 04-30-2014 08:16 PM

Ha. nice

chiefsfan987 04-30-2014 08:16 PM

Our pitching staff really needs to work on lowering our walks. We give up way too many free passes.

That's why I think Crow needs to start innings...he is always good for a hit or a wild pitch that seems to cost us somehow

If Bautista gets a hold of it, it might go over the hall of fame.

petegz28 04-30-2014 08:18 PM

I'm more worried about this guy..dangerous situation here. Can't relax because we got Bautista

petegz28 04-30-2014 08:19 PM

LMAO Coco Crisp has more HR's than Butler\Hoser\Gordon combined

Big Poppa Payne 04-30-2014 08:20 PM

Thank you Dyson!

SPchief 04-30-2014 08:20 PM

Nice job getting around it Herrera

TLO 04-30-2014 08:20 PM

Good job to work out of the jam.

Whew!!!! Wiping the sweat from my brow.

petegz28 04-30-2014 08:20 PM

I'll give Kelvin credit there for holding it together. Now Billay needs to actually do something here.....

I honestly wonder where the power came from for that little ****er. He never hit shit with KC or before he came to KC for that matter.

I've gotten to the point where I never think any of them are going to hit a homerun and when they do I'm genuinely shocked.

stonedstooge 04-30-2014 08:22 PM

Nice stroke Belly

petegz28 04-30-2014 08:22 PM

Do you run for him in the 7th?

chefsos 04-30-2014 08:23 PM

You gotta give Duffy some credit now. Drilling Melky probably saved that inning for ya.

Nice contact by Butler. I really don't like the pinch runner in the 7th

petegz28 04-30-2014 08:23 PM

That was a good single but the old Butler puts that pitch over the wall

We sacrifice bunted in the first inning ahead of AND pinch ran for our number four hitter in the seventh inning. Ned Yost is telling Dayton Moore something.
