At least we have the Chiefs to look forward to in about 10 minutes.
Amiright? |
It's so amazing that these guys can find new ways to screw up. There's always next year, right?

Royals loss Chiefs loss Tigers win Not a good day. |
Cleveland scores 1, Tigers up 6-4 , runner on 2nd & no outs.

Hopefully they ask about using Crow and Aoki in the pressed and then ask if he was aware of the splits.
|
There goes another opportunity
|
Damn,Tigers win.

Bases loaded.

|
Well......fun season guys
|
Ned's justification for Crow is just ...
Glad I'm drinking right now. Season on the line, and you're still so hidebound you save Herrera for the 7th when the game was in the balance with two outs in the 6th. |

Asked why he didn’t just use Herrera in that spot then, Yost said: “Aaron Crow’s inning is the sixth inning. HO-LY SHIT. |
@KSeaboldt: These Yost quotes from postgame almost sound made up. Like I’m reading The Onion...
|
Yikes. Those quotes are bad.
|
Ned knows he can go YOLO because this gutless franchise won't hold him accountable.
|
Somebody please come in here and defend Ned. Alnorth? Tk13? Anybody who's intelligent and level-headed (and sober)?
|
Hasn't Al North been a defender of Ned?

Will Ned get fired again with 10 games left?

In between trying to get my internet up and running, I got to see the Crow MOON shot, and absolutely couldn't believe Yost would leave him in. Been working on my piece of shit router since.

I complexity despise this mentality of "this guy is strictly a 7th inning guy" , or "8th inning guy" etc......
Every game situation is different. To be completely static like that is incompetent. |

Did anyone even ask Yost why he didn't bring in a lefty to pitch to Neva?
Why must KC be forever cursed with terrible coaches? (!@#*$1o01UQWE9E Worst. Sports day. Ever. |

On his defense he got stung by Boston in July when he brought in Downs and they countered with Gomes who won the game. That said you cannot ever bring in The Crow. That is outrageous

Bill James has repeatedly said the biggest mistakes in MLB are (1) not platooning enough and (2) not bringing your best relievers in at the most critical times. As far as I'm concerned, I'd have considered Greg freaking Holland at that point with the bases loaded 1 out. Why not? He's your best, win or lose with him. Or Davis. Or Herrera. Whoever.
We've platooned a lot this year (hasn't worked) which is good, but the high lev situations should NEVER involve feces like Crow or Downs or Bueno. |
He has changed Aoki's roll from a poor defensive RF guy who doesn't hit well into a DH. Why can't he change Crows role?
