Yeah That's how I met Otter. We got together for many beers when I was out in PA buying cars when I was in the car business. We got together several times after that including him coming out here Montana for some ATVing and fly fishing.

Same thing with my buddy rockymtnchief. He lives about 90 miles from me and we have been on many ATV/gun shooting/beer drinking adventures.

Well, looks like I've got some work to do.

Yeah Otter told me that story and said you guys had a blast. I still talk to him about once every 3 weeks and he keeps threatening to come back out. After that trip I took him on to Cooke City he had mountains in his blood and ended up moving out of PA to where he is now and loves it.

I think part of the issue is that he doesn't really care and prefers for the mods to take care of...well...moderating. I see it less as him being "on board" with it so much as just not wanting to be involved.

All due respect to Kyle here, but he needs to get involved in some way, shape, or form. This place is going downhill fast and he is really the only one that can stop that.

I'd like to change my vote to yes.

Many of them are great, but there are a few that are either too infrequent in their visits or they're too heavy-handed. And that includes many friends.

Keeping some of the good ones like Bwana and replacing some of the others with new mods would be a great thing to do. We've done it before. Hell, we even asked for the input of the community in who should be a mod. We could easily do the same thing now.

And remember when we swore in this current crop how much better things were running? I've got nothing at all against the job any of these mods have done for many years now. It's a thankless and underpaid job, and I'm sure it wears thin on many guys such that they want to take those leaves of absence.

Either reinstate Clay, or Ban Tiger. It's really hard to not have balance here.

It'd be way too much of a pain to manage it, but conceptually I wonder if term limits would be a good thing. Seems like people (myself included) get burned out after a few years, and it'd be healthy to have new blood from time to time. Something like 4-year term limits, elect 2 new ones every 2 years so that there's always overlap...

That would be perfect. I still think the board needs to start from scratch on this. Right now, Bwana is probably the only one people would vote to keep of the actual active mods.

Can we copy the KCStar board or the NepaChiefs TOS to this site? Want to make sure its known Chiefsplanet is a proper safespace.

I'd just like to see the Mods actually check the board temperature on certain users. When you see a situation like Tigger or Clay, its time to take out the trash. Its hard for me to say that because I like Clay on the board but if you are going to set the standard with what he did, then enforce it equally.
