“Say what you want about Dee, but the pass rush looks different when he’s out there. It’s better” - Terez
Basically exactly how I feel regarding Ford. Hope he kills it this year. |

If that back starts acting up, hit him up with a shot of local and send his ass back out there... if you want a big contract in 2019, its time to go get it kid |
I think Veach is playing to the strength of this draft. Phenomenal db draft. I think he'll take a couple high.

Veach making his bones.

Asked a guy at work who is from Texas and a huge Dallas fan about Hithcens and he said he is THE guy he didn't want Dallas to lose this offseason.

After that he can be shipped off on the slow boat to Shanghai for a nice pick, if thats what Veach deems necessary |
Quote:
Eh. I hope he “kills” it as our second best pass rusher. Something like 10-12 sacks would be great. I wouldn’t want Veach feeling like it might be a good idea to give him a big contract and a 15+ sack season might do that. |
Chiefs Sign Anthony Hitchens

Look at 2:20. That's a play made by a guy who just ****ing wants it. |
He reminds me of a heat-seeking missile.

If they find a way to land Suh or Sheldon as well as another corner that can play (draft or FA)...this defense has a good chance to be real nasty. |

I’m not a fan of Amerson, at all. This draft has 7 or 8 first round graded CBs. Hopefully Veach can find a way to move up and grab a good one. |
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Cash flow on Anthony Hitchens' 5-year, $45M deal with the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Chiefs?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Chiefs</a> is legit. Not bad. |
The guy improved every year and is still young as hell
|
yeah and if you look at Watkins and this deal, the Chiefs can shed a ton of money if necessary to either keep these guys or resign our own.
|
Anthony Hitchens' $45M Chiefs deal: $14M signing bonus, $25.09M gtd, salaries $790,000 (gtd), $6.5M (gtd), $7.8M, $5.8M, $7.8M, annual $250K Pro Bowl plus playoffs incentive 2018-2020; up to $1.75M playtime, Pro Bowl plus playoff incentive 2021-2022
|
So his cap hit this year is roughly $3.6 million.

I don't understand the fascination with trying to find a safety in free agency. We can't fill every hole with FA, we have to count on the draft for some stuff, and it's harder to find a DL who can make an impact in his first year than it is a safety.

Tre Boston
81.4 Above average |

Boston fits what Veach has been going for. Young, ascending.
He’s 25 and gotten better year to year. Odds are you are paying for his prime. |
Daniel Sorensen
40.7 Poor KC definitely has a need at Safety |

I’m not overly hyped about Boston. He was good last year, but keep in mind he had an elite pass rush in front of him to make him look good.
|
I thought Boston was pretty solid in Carolina in 2016, too.

Tre Boston has been a JAG. Cheap flier? Maybe. |

Now would be a great time to trade for someone. Use that 2nd rd pick as ammo. We could easily sign them to an extension too.

3.6 cap hit for 2018. Not bad.

I’ve been seeing GIFs for the last 24 hours of Hitchens from Keysor and Jacobs and I have no clue how this guy wasn’t more coveted. Or maybe he was, seeing how we paid him $9M per year.
I’ve seen 6 or 7 plays on Twitter alone that remind me of DJ with the way he gets around linemen. |

He has a weird Leveon Bell approach to reading his gaps. Kind of bounces around until he finds his hole and explodes through. Cowboys fans and reports say he was progressing each year and it really does look like he just needed to get comfortable so he can play the way he would like to.
Really hope DJ comes back as a coach because I feel Hitchens would be a fantastic apprentice for him. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him struggle in a new scheme and position in the early going, but fans will need to give him some time to get his feet under him here because there is absolutely talent there. I like the signing. |
Demarcus Robinson giving up his number apparently. Watkins to wear #14.
