And FTR, next year will be painful for you because he will be on this team, there isn't anything we can really do with him except keep him! |
Pay him and open up a spot for a player instead of him
|
Anyone know or can confirm the rumors that..........berry’s contract says if he doesn't have surgery by June 1st and is ready to play, the chiefs can opt out of his contract, no cap hit, the league would basically medically discharge him
BS rumor? |

This is the year for clean breaks on defense across the board
And Berry is the first band-aid that needs to be ripped off... both sides will be better off that way We need a new defensive leader |

He’ll probably go to NE and play at an all pro level til he’s 46. Because

Belicheck don’t play that Haglind Spirit shit. That’s how you end up in Cleveland.

I think it is time to move on from Berry if the Chiefs can but getting mad at the guy for getting injured and still making a lot of money is stupid. NFL contracts are setup to protect players if they get hurt. Deal with it.
Easy to talk trash on the guy when you haven't walked in his shoes. Sitting at your comfy desk jobs. How many of you have beaten cancer? Then you came back and had a season ending injury to then have this freak bone injury. Think that wasn't tough on him? You really think he doesnt want to be out there playing? I'm not happy how the contract has gone but I'm not going to get mad at the guy for getting injured then being cautious after everything he has been through.... If you want to go ahead. Post a million times a day about how much you hate a guy who beat cancer and then had some tough injuries because he makes a lot of money. Makes no difference to me. |

I ain't mad at him. Injuries happen. Football's a business, and he hasn't been able to be counted on for 2 years while drawing an inordinately large chunk of cap room.
Time to cut our losses. I've not seen anything official about his contract being insured against injury, football or otherwise, and have seen speculation in the media that we'd cut him June 1. so until someone other than a planet poster tells me that's indeed the case and we can't cut him to get cap relief I'm assuming we can. IF that is so, we should. Time to move on. You like Berry still? You're going to LOVE Landon Collins. |
nothing against him personally, just want someone who sees the field and doesn’t have a broken spirit.
|
Too bad there is no realistic way for the Chiefs to get Jets safety Jamal Adams.
Adams and Mahomes seemed to be BFF's at the Pro Bowl and safety is kind of a position of need for the Chiefs. |

As for walking a mile in other people's shoes, cry me a river; pretty-much anybody can say that. His got punked out of his shoes by Gronk, so maybe his salary isn't commensurate with his shoes. Berry's stripper "shoes" http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/23...538f099ded.jpg |
"**** you, Eric Berry" just seems a bit harsh to me.

And pro tip: doing NOTHING about your condition while waiting for the biggest game of the season to pull rank and convince your coaches that you're 100% ready to play when in fact you are a raggedy, slow-assed, bag o' Haglund liability, IS EXTREMELY SELFISH TO YOUR TEAM MATES. Got it figured now? Good. |
Gronk sent EB29 a pair of Miricle Copper Socks and a Thank You card

So this mother ****er still hasn't had surgery? It sure is going to be fun going through another offseason of this piece of shit talking about his spirit and missing practices.

He'll have time for the surgery now... He'll have time for a trim of the beard, a haircut, and to bleach his asshole face... Then he'll be strutting...

I don’t understand all the hate for Berry?? Telling a guy to eff off after all the good things he did for this organization. Dude was a baller here and a warrior especially after coming back from cancer and putting together one of his best seasons of his career. I ****ing respect that sh*t man and then we have people like this that piss on it and act like its nothing. Talk about a lack of appreciation and short term memory as a fan. Seeing sh*t like this irritates me man and it makes our fan base look really bad. This is embarrassing and other people are probably laughing at some of us..Bob Gretz is right some of you are classless and deranged. This is evidence right here! *Ok I get it a lot of people are pissed off because he was injury prone and cost the organization a lot of money the last 4 years. But its not like it is our money? What did Eric Berry do to piss people off? Because he made one mistake in a championship game? Well, the best of them **** up as well. Thats not a good reason to hate a guy. He’s had bad luck throughout his career and that happens and he proved he overcame some of it. And he still has a chance to do so again with another team. I respect Berry. Always have and always will and wish him nothing but the best with another team. Oh yeah And for the fan that started this thread go **** yourself. ****ing piece of shit! Hater ****ing hater |
No need to kick him in the Haglund on the way out, just enjoy the sweet release....

To each his own. Personally, I lost a lot of respect for EB 29 the past couple years. Not gonna kick him when he's out, but very glad he's finally gone. Good riddence and good luck to him at the same time. |

Yes, he became all about the money. And "that's fine, we can't stop him" (see, I said it), but we sure as hell don't have to limit our feelings about him to the years he wasn't ****ing us. |

He did A LOT for the team throughout his career its just unfortunate he battled through injuries and cancer. And when he wasn’t playing its not like he took a vacation away from the team. No he was by the sidelines rooting for his teammates and coaching them up and giving them tips and advice on how to be better like a good teammate does. But nah its alright. Right? Maybe you should call him a cheerleader instead. |

Yeah because he could’ve won a SB with Matt Cassel and Alex Smith right? But yet put him with Tom Brady and he’ll win 3 or 4 and all of a sudden he is coloured in a different perspective, right? SB and playoff wins is a bad way of measuring a player when all that is totally a team related concept and not just based on the individuality like you make it seem. He never gave up on the team. What the **** are you talking about? He was always there being supportive. The better thing to say, is he wasn’t the same player he once was. And thats understandable when a person goes through 3 plagued seasons in 4 years and plays under a shitty coordinator that promoted a losing culture on that side of the ball. Not trying to make excuses for the guy but that is mentally challenging to deal with. People don’t weigh in on such things. |

I dont give a **** about him being a good dude. I care about him playing and contributing, not saying he was healthy and ready to play, but just couldnt find it in his spirit. I dont give a **** how many autographs he signed.

Basically it was decided he could more for the organization being anywhere but here.
