I wish I had as much faith in this team as Max Kellerman does. He thinks we are the team to beat the AFC and says our defense will get better. Dan Orlovsky brought up another fun fact! We allow 90 yards on the ground...... in the second half!!!!

There is no way you can objectively look at this team and think it's better than New England, Baltimore, or Houston.

The Chiefs allowed over 180 yards on the ground. 90 yards would be half. Why is that so shocking?

The offense has pride (their issues seem to be more focused-related with the penalties), but your statement definitely applies to the defense.

After that FG snap mishap, Tennessee was still facing the prospect of starting at their own 39 yard line and needing to drive down for a TD with no time outs and freaking Ryan Tannehill.

The Chiefs defense’s response was to essentially quit and offer no resistance.

I think it's time to admit this isn't a bowl team, all that SB or bust talk was bullshit, we are what we have always been.

They burn a timeout clock doesn't stop and if you only get a yard go for it on 4th end that shit right there.

That screen is run by many coaches in that situation. You see it all the time. Belichik does it too. Most of the time that works for us. I would have run the ball, but I won't complain about that pass because it is common in that situation in the NFL.

It's always tough to call out a player when you don't know the call and/or the individual responsibilities on a play.

Nonetheless, it sure looked like Jones blew that play by abandoning his gap.

So let's keep doing the same shit over and over again every year....

It's 7 years into this...same mistakes, the defense STILL isn't fixed, and brain dead decisions plague this team.

We have no idea who they'd hire or if they would be better or worse...to say we for sure would take a huge step back and can't find someone better is silly.

I agree with your take, but not that it was the dumbest post ever... I had heard the horror clock management stories from Philly fan about Reid, but I gave him a clean slate when he came to KC. BUT, the same shit STILL happens a LOT. SO, I completely understand why many don't agree with your statement.

You get Sherman in there in 21 personnel and run the ball on 3rd and 2. If you don't get it, then you pass. Something to Kelce, Hill, or Damian Williams. Something that gives Mahomes more than one read.

With that and some of these other insane contracts this team is going to be playing vet min guys and rookies to be under the cap.

Basic abilities.

Managing the game and the clock. Those are two of the most basic things an NFL coach does. He does not possess the ability to do either one. It has been broadcasted for the whole nation to see from day one. How you've missed it, I have no idea.

He wins games because he's good at creating Xs & Os matchups and a good Qb coach. You want to call him a legendary OC, fine, that isn't in question. It's also not enough to win Superbowls as a Head Coach unless his players carry him to them. Without the basic skills required for the job, he'll never be great. He's Marino, and no one cares but the stats.

That sucks. That kid was really doing quite well.

So Mathieu deleted a tweet from last night that implied he was not happy with static he was getting from fans after the loss.

Today he turns around and posts more motivational “fluff”.
What a pretender.....

Yep. Was a TOTAL BUST at Tackle last year, but seemed to find his way at Guard this season. Sucks.

Even then it's not. The Texans match up favorably talent-wise with KC on offense and have better defensive personnel. The Ravens also have very good personnel.

The Chiefs looked like they were in a completely different class from the Ravens with no Hill. Are we just throwing that game out?

And they were on the verge of blowing the doors off Houston before the ref agenda took over to keep it close. Still would have won without a crucial turnover.

Andy has never changed, even when he believes he has.

The whole idea that this game means we aren't a super bowl team is stupid.

1. We will not be facing the Titans in the playoffs. Thank God, because we can never beat them.

2. We are still heavy favorites in our division. Win vs the Raiders and we will likely have a game lead + tiebreaker, virtually a 2.5 game lead over them, with 4 games left to go.

3. No bye week sucks, but week 17 might not matter and that can be a psuedo-bye week. It just means we have to win 3 games in a row. First game at home vs Bills or Raiders or Steelers - easy enough.

4. Game 2 on the road vs Texans, Ravens, or Patriots, game 3 on the road as well. Face it - we are a better team on the road somehow. Maybe this is what we needed to get to the Superbowl. We have Mahomes and our defense is a coinflip as to whether they will play good. 2 coinflips = 25% chance for the Superbowl, let's go boyos, we got this.

He REALLY is. He was so weird in Houston with all his tweets. I cautioned everyone here about his BS when he was tweeting crap when he signed with KC. Dude is mostly full of shit - much more bark than bite.

You might want to look at it again.

Besides, I would be quite happy with a “fluke” season like Denver and Philly fan had enjoyed.

That was then - this is now... How come you're giving the benefit of the doubt to the Chiefs, but not to the other teams? On paper, both the Texans and Ravens are formidable - your answer was to throw their records out and look at the teams when healthy. I am doing just that.

Marcellus 11-11-2019 01:35 PM

The same dipshits saying we needed to continue rest Mahomes because Moore has done fine are now saying we are too dependant on Mahomes.

Yeah, I was always a little skeptical about paying veterans on D rather than really blowing it up and going young. Other than QB and O-line, not sure I want to give vets big money or give up high draft picks to get them. After all of this, we appear to be in the same position as last year -- it's all on Mahomes. Except this year we won't have HF and will need to win another game.

You do remember the crucial turnover that the Texans committed deep in their own territory in the 1st qtr., right? Hyde fumbled inside the 20. So, that turnover thing kind of evened out.

With that and some of these other insane contracts this team is going to be playing vet min guys and rookies to be under the cap.

If Mahomes is as competitive as everyone on here claims he is i doubt he is going to sign a contract that will hamstring the teams ability to sign players.
