I know. Thinking Kentucky basketball is still relevant at all it's clear they should have moved on from Callpari 5 years ago. Great recruiter who can't go anywhere in the tourney

I caught a little of the game last night (or was it Saturday?). Last time i saw that many white boys on a basketball court, Gene Hackman was coaching the team.

I hope everyone is watching Tech/Texas right now. Incredibly entertaining stuff. Flagrant 2s, technicals on the fans for throwing shit on the court at Texas, cops carrying fans out of the building, and now Tech's coach is pleading to their joke fans on the microphone to stop throwing shit on the court at Texas.

Stormed the court! It was chaos The entire KU team flopped on the court claiming injury Dook style and are now petitioning the NCAA to outlaw court storming in Douglas County. They also claim BYU went into the stands fondled the titties of their girlfriends and hot moms as well. Total chaos. Lawrence has been left in ruin.

Yep. Mentally tough team. They know how to win. OU played well and did the kinds of things they needed to do for an upset. Great game. Man, the Big 12 is such a good conference! GO COOGS!

Rams Fan 03-03-2024 07:10 AM

Probably a bit hyperbolic, but I feel like Kentucky is either making the Final Four or losing first round.

The defense is so bad but the offense is so good. Cal ran an all freshman lineup the last 5 minutes of the game to seal the W. Dillingham and Sheppard are so fun to watch, but their off ball defense is atrocious.

alanm 03-03-2024 09:27 AM

Creighton won again yesterday. Taking out #5 Marquette. Bluejays getting on a roll heading into tourney time.

When you can score 100+ anything is possible.

SEC standings show me this is gonna be a very interesting week for those at the top.

And then there's the mutts..lol

Bla bla bla. That 13 ppg, 42% FG, 32% 3FG line is really doing it for you huh? I get it, great defender but no way he's the 2nd best player in NCAA basketball.

The SEC is getting like 6 teams in guaranteed, probably 7.

There’s a scenario where there could be a 5 way title for the conference title, but IDC.

I just want Kentucky to be healthy and playing well going into the tournament. Yesterday was the first time all year where they’ve had their entire roster available for a full game.

He absolutely is. He could put up massive numbers on a worse team than Houston if necessary. KenPom ranks him 8th right now (among a mass of guys well behind Edey), but accounting for his defense, I’m comfortable giving him the #2 spot. If not him, then who?

If you take the sum of Kentucky’s tournament wins from 2020-now, which is one, it is still more than Nebraska’s all time total.

And you’re probably right. While I think Kentucky is the most exciting team to watch, the defense can’t be that to carry the team to a title barring Dillingham or Sheppard pulling off a 2011-esque Kemba run.

I think Houston, UConn, and probably Tennessee are the three teams that are better than the rest of the field at this point. Probably should include Purdue but I’m not giving them the benefit of the doubt any more.

An Illinois-Kentucky round of 32 matchup would probably be the most exciting game of the tournament.

It's true. And it's a major embarrassment. But to be fair they always seem to be matched up with a 3-5 seed. Anyway they won again tonight beating Rutgers. They are now 21-9, 11-8 Big Ten and went 18-1 at home this year. Their last game is next Sat at Michigan. Hoiberg should be getting serious consideration for Coach of the year. Hell they were selected to finish anywhere from 11th to last in preseason.

It's absolutely insane that I don't feel comfortable with this team having a 5+ point lead with under a minute left.

Only if they're up 10+ do I feel safe.

Mississippi State game was way worse.

I honestly didn't have any reservations. They can hit free throws and they've performed well in the last 5 mins in a lot of games. They have 4 guards that can handle the ball in half court.

Auburn and Florida have 1 home loss this year. Guess who was the perpetrator of those home losses? And they just gave Tennessee their 2nd loss at home.

o:-)

We shouldn’t have to worry about blowing a lead with a minute left because we can’t defend. I can tolerate some late game execution mistakes given that all of the guards aside from Reeves are freshmen, but those two combined are a big problem.

Big play concerns me as well but I think Cal’s realized that Z/Ugo/Bradshaw just need to rotate game-by-game and whoever is the hot hand plays. Ugo didn’t do shit offensively but played great defensively today.

I think this team can make a Final Four if everyone stays healthy and they can keep the momentum, but a Natty will be really hard.

She dislikes Caitlin Clark because she is white. Jemele is a professional racist, she just gets to disguise it as anti-racism.

She's been seething about whitey ever since she got canned from SC6 because Joe Bluecollar didn't want to hear her talk about Drake and Black Panther after his 10 hr shift while he has his first beer of the day.

How about none of them because women's basketball is garbage?

You're right. But we're in an era where people are pretending to like it so I guess we should be happy for them or something.

Think it's pretty obvious anyone would rather watch the best player in women's bball of today...and it's not even close. She's averaging 32 ppg, shooting FOURTEEN threes a game and she's still high FG percentage.

It would be like if Steph Curry stayed in college 5 years. It would have been insane.
