Why not? This defense has completely given up at this point.

This will be the 2nd blowout loss for the Bucs this year.

They've been up and down, but consistently bad vs. TEs. Lots of injuries across the defense though

DRM08 10-21-2024 08:27 PM

Mayfield got away with an INT ball. Would have been caught if it was Mahomes.

KC_Connection 10-21-2024 08:28 PM

If Evans is still hurt in two weeks, TB is gonna get absolutely wrecked by KC. Baker is nothing without him.

notorious 10-21-2024 08:29 PM

Mayfield just had to yank down.

What an AIDS fire.

-King- 10-21-2024 08:29 PM

You can't convince me that Flowers, Andrews, and Bateman are so much better than Worthy, Kelce and Juju (for the first 5 weeks) that they're this big of a difference between a Lamar headed passing attack and a Mahomes headed passing attack. Lamar has 2/3 of Mahomes passing touchdowns for the season just today. Seriously...wtf?

Nah. It’ll be within 10 points. KC rarely blows out the opponent. And they rarely get blown out the other direction as well. Cardiac Chiefs.

Actually Flowers is significantly better than Worthy, right now anyway.

Andrews and Kelce are a wash.

JuJu is just a guy. He gets by on hands, strength and guile. Bateman has speed.

Justice Hill seems pretty explosive in the passing game. He has a 30 yard receiving TD tonight on a screen pass.

He had a Td called back on a holding call and Evans dropped a TD. Tb should be sitting on 24 pts right now. Not that I'm blaming Evans, as he popped his hammy just before the ball hit his hands.

He is playing well. He had a 80 QBR yesterday and nearly 70 QBR in the 2 games before that.

KC_Connection 10-21-2024 08:35 PM

The Chiefs are 6th offensively in DVOA despite facing one of the toughest schedules in the NFL and having all of their primary receiving weapons get hurt and we have people here crying about Mahomes passing touchdowns as if it makes any difference how the Chiefs are getting their points.

Make it make sense.

ESPN gave him a higher QBR grade against the Niners (80/100) than the Saints (70/100). Two flukey INT’s that were not his fault. Numerous clutch plays on 3rd down and even 4th down. Not sure what game you were watching.

comochiefsfan 10-21-2024 08:41 PM

The key to beating Baltimore that no one besides Spags and Kelce/Mahomes has seemed to figure out, is that you have to match their intensity and physicality.

Their whole identity is being the bully. If you punch them back they will fold and go crying to their mommy.

Megatron96 10-21-2024 08:41 PM

Is it really 6-7 in the other game?

I like how the best defense of Mahomes play is using a stat that ranks him the 12th best QB in the league and behind players like Trevor Lawrence.

I didn't think we'd get to that point and try to defend it instead of saying we should be better than that but here we are.

You also have to shut their running game down and keep Lamar which in the pocket, which they also do almost every time as well.

Nobody is saying he hasn't played bad games this year (the Cinci game in particular was one of the worst in his entire career and weighs that stat down). Yesterday very clearly wasn't one of them for anybody who actually watched the game.

I mean they graded him poorly in the earlier games on the season. At one point he was around 17th or worse. Currently tied with Geno Smith and Brock Purdy at #10. But the cream rises to the top. He has played better the last 2 games. Mahomes will keep moving up the list and some of the others will fade. We’re seeing Mayfield struggle tonight. Baker not gonna keep up his hot start for 17 games.

The picks didn’t bother me yesterday. Neither one was his fault.

The worst thing he did was miss that wide open deep ball to Worthy.

McDermott and Josh Allen. Very similar. At least Allen shows up in the Playoffs unlike Lamar.

The kings of garbage time while getting blown out are Dak Prescott & Kirk Cousins.

The picks started out being mostly his fault but the last three haven’t been. The luck is gonna start evening out, this week I would say.

They spent all offseason and camp getting the chemistry down between he and Hollywood + Rice. Both gone early, it was always gonna be a work in progress but the identity is getting there.

KC_Connection 10-21-2024 08:55 PM

9 points might be enough for the Chargers the way this game is being played

Mayfield just got away with another INT and the ball was bobbled to a Tampa guy. If that was Mahomes, it is caught by the defense every time.

Kelce chirping and toeing the line with taunting the entire game was so good.

You could tell they weren’t used to someone else swaggering around and having the confidence to talk shit to them and it clearly threw them off and made them undisciplined.

That’s the savvy shit the Chiefs are so good at that stats can’t measure and can close the talent difference.

Mayfield has 2 INT tonight, but also two dropped INT. If it was Mahomes, he would absolutely have 4 INT. Lamar has also gotten away with two batted balls tonight. Aaron Rodgers got away with 2 batted balls at the line of scrimmage last night. Mahomes? Interception of course.

To me it’s so dumb what the Bucs did going for two there. You don’t get it and the games over staying down three scores. Granted it’s likely over anyways but just bad practice. The Patriots did the same thing only theirs was more egregious. They scored a late TD to go down 9 with like four minutes left in the game. They went for two and didn’t get it which basically ended the game and definitely took away any momentum they had.

DJ's left nut 10-21-2024 09:07 PM

It almost certainly doesn't matter even a little, but if White goes full speed he MIGHT get that TD on the other side of the 2 minute warning.

Eh...who cares? They'll try an onside kick that would've stopped the clock on change of possession anyway.

Still feels unnecessarily lazy though.
