I rewatched the game feed and to be honest, I didn't hear that many "cheers" outside of the run for Charles and the incoming of Quinn. Nothing sounded out of the ordinary like it was in support of the injury.

Maybe it was different from the stadium and you're always going to get your sample of assholes, but I don't hear a "stadium" full of cheers.

Meanwhile, guys like Dilfer wouldn't bother to check the tape before "reporting" the story.

It's damn unfortunate.

Saints fans will remember Jim Mora using almost the exact same words as Winston in the 1993 season when quarterback Wade Wilson went down with a knee injury and hometown fans cheered."Those are some sick, sick, sick people," Mora said of those who applauded Wilson's misfortune. "Mentally sick."

This was the genius of what Sam Wyche said in his famous PA announcement in 1989 when Cincinnati fans started chucking debris onto the field during a December home game against the Seahawks.

Wyche took the stadium microphone and blared, "Will the next person who sees anybody throw something onto this field, point 'em out, get 'em outta here? You don't live in Cleveland, you live in Cincinnati!"

Do people remember this? I was too young for the former, atleast to understand it, and I don't remember the latter. Do people feel the Saints fans or Bengals fans are jerks? Stuff fades over time.

Yeah, he hasn't said anything on Twitter he said it on ESPN (obviously) but just because he isn't tweeting at the moment doesn't mean he isn't checking his messages. He will get them, especially if enough people get on it. I've tweeted him 5 times in the last 30 and plan on doing some more tomorrow. He is pretty good at interacting with his followers.

You still see the Wyche thing played from time to time... that was a pretty memorable moment. Remember the Mora thing too... but a lot of his press conferences were memorable.
