Bullshit, that is a good list of EXACTLY what Cassel needs to do if this team is gonna have a chance at winning big games in the playoffs.

Thus far, that is an accurate list of his precise weaknesses.

What's going on here...?

Unfortunately, there is probably a better chance of either Boss/Moeaki ending the year on IR than there is of both still being active and healthy after the last game.

I could see it. Boss is going to play a big role this year for sure. He will be the #1 and will get some catches.

Actually, Cassel looks improved.

If he makes it out of the opening stretch .500, he could make a push in the last 10 games.

When you get some time, go through the threads Ive started on here about Cassel over the years. Ive been VERY fair with the player...given him praise and pointed out along the way when I saw precise improvements...but Im not gonna stick my head in the sand when it comes to his failures, either.

There is no way Stanzi would make it to the practice squad.

He was a fifth round pick that hasn't played in regular season game and hasn't shown much of anything in the preseason to date. What team is going to cut their third stringer in favor of Stanzi?

Hopefully, we dont have to find out.

Im not gonna do the legwork to give you a list of speculated teams with a need for a QB prospect.

Sorry

All I can say is that one of them would claim him.

It doesnt matter, anyway.

The Organization is high on the kid and I would be completely shocked if he gets put on waivers/cut.

You would have to think that even if a solid vet becomes available and the Chiefs decided to sign him, it would be to replace the other veteran in Quinn.

Romeo has said he wants three quarterbacks.

Starter, vet, developmental.

This was around the draft when he made the comment about not being interested in any quarterbacks after say 2 because none of the rest of them would be a better developmental guy than Stanzi is.

No reason to keep 3 vets.

This is the same thing imo. We need to cut our losses and move on. He should be better at this point and he honestly hasn't shown anything. What has he learned? Has he gotten better?

I can't believe some guys say it wasn't that bad! I'm sorry but it was terrible. It's not even Thursday yet and some of you Stanzi sympathizers are already getting beer goggles again. He caused the sacks because he held the ball to long. The pick wasn't flukey at all. He's lucky Copper knocked it away and tried to save him. Otherwise, it might have been gone for a pick six because Copper was double covered and Stanzi blatently stared down the receiver all the way.

In the end, Stanzi doesn't move the ball. You have to move the ball. Thigpen moved the ball. Palko and Croyle did not. Thigpen is still in the league. It's really that simple. If Stanzi is going to make it, he needs to move the damn chains.

Two of the four sacks were on Stanzi. Period. The other two were on the Oline, guys having hands on Stanzi in less than 3 seconds.

As far as the interception is concerned. I know you won't b/c you're a dumbass, but if you watch the replay from the rear angle it's obvious pass interference. The db tries to put his hand around Coppers waist to help position himself(which itself is pass interference) but gets a hold of Copper's left elbow in the process not allowing Copper to catch the ball. If Coppers left arm is free, it's most likely an easy catch, and if the db's doesn't put his arm around Copper illegally at all, he never gets into position to bat the ball away. Stanzi's throw was perfect.

After last year, there is plenty of reason to keep three vets. Take Chicago for example. They signed Campbell and McCown after their QB debacle last year. I would like to us get a third so we don't have to sign one off the street again.

Two of the four sacks were on Stanzi? How many would there have been in four quarters? The corner was cheating? Listen to yourself man. It's NFL and Stanzi is going to have to overcome that shit if he wants to play.
