Trufant seems like a reach. Admittedly, I've never watched him play so there's that to consider.

Saints getting Jenkins in the 4th is a steal IMO.

Would have looked fine playing OLB for the Jets.

I think Trufant is living off the family name. I can't believe he's climbed to a possible 1st round pick. I'm a HUGE Huskies fan so I've seen the kid his entire career. That said, you can't deny that speed...

I probably should've snatched up Kiko Alonso in the 4th. I just really like that kid from AZ. I think that's a big get. Bostic in the late 3rd was a good grab too. There are a couple of guys I thought were reaches, but they're my homeboys so I ain't talkin...

I'm not pleased with myself for the Michael Buchanan pick instead of Jaime Collins.

I was going Collins, then updated my board real quick before I left for the fishing trip and just didn't slot Buchanan correctly. I immediately regretted the decision.

I was wondering how many other people were on that kid because of his past, and lack of experience playing the game. Fact is, he is a ****ing prototype for his position and could be a superstar.

One man's trash. That being said there are some widely varying opinions on Jon Hankins, DT, OSU. I watch more Big 10 football than any other conference so I've seen a lot of this guy. He seems like a great fit next to Kevin Williams to me. I was shocked to see Jesse Williams slide so far.
I thought SNR's recent pick of Bell for KC was a stroke of genius. Love that kid and what he brings to the table. Perfect compliment to Jamaal.

I got too caught up in Buchanan's length and the possibility of him putting on weight to be a DE (and an insanely good one) or the possibility of him being a savage hybrid OLB that could really be outstanding with his hand on the ground in 4-man alignments during sub-packages.

But in the end, Melvin Ingram's already a bit of a tweener himself so I should've just gone with the best 3-4 OLB prospect available at that pick and in my mind that pick was Collins.

I let the possibility of swiss-army utility override the potential of dominating at a single position and in the end I think that was a mistake.

I wouldn't mind the Buchanan pick if it didn't cost me Collins.

I haven't watched many Washington games since Locker was drafted, but I did watch a lot of senior bowl week and Trufant won damn near every 1on1 drill and was very impressive in his technique IMO. Add to that the fact that he has damn good measurables and that Atlanta is losing Grimes and Robinson to free agency and I thought it was worth the minor reach it took to take him at 30...if he can absorb the coaching he would get in Atlanta, the kid has a sizable upside.

I also reached a bit for Tavon Austin for the same reason I did so for Julio Jones a couple years back (when I drafted him at 6, the slot he was actually drafted at)...elite upside as a playmaker.

In todays NFL I'll take "reaches" like those all day.

Even if it affords me the nickname "bossreach"

BossFeihc, You make a good point on Austin. His stock keeps rising and he very well may end up in the top 10 picks. Shrewd move.

DeezNutz 03-28-2013 06:21 PM

Eh. Lacy is a bit of a reach for Denver, but I actually believe this has a great chance of being their pick because if not him, who at RB?

Jordan is a freaking steal for AZ, as is Carradine for those lying, cheating pieces of shit in CO.

It also gives Buffalo two players who are really tough to matchup with, having Stevie Johnson on the other side Puts teams in a situation where they have to decide who to double because with CJ Spiller and Jackson in the backfield teams can't afford to keep both safeties back.

I also came right back and drafted a quarterback whos bread and butter is the 13-35 yard passes to pair with these guys and went back again with another receiver in the late third with the Bailey pick.

Pair all that with Buffalos defense and running game and they have a chance to shake things up with the other teams in the AFCE.

I'm pretty damn happy with both my teams drafts, so far.

There really is no excuse for Buffalo to be a 4-5 win team next year unless they just fail miserably at the draft.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Elway draft Lacy and someone like Barner late.

Williams + Stewart 2.0 LMAO
