I got news for you, bub: we wasted the last four years. 2017 is already pretty much wasted unless it's moving forward at the QB position in some way.

If I'm Dorsey/Reid, my priorities are as follows:

1. Draft Pat Mahomes. You might have to trade up like Denver did last year, but either way, make it happen. KC is in the perfect position to groom him for a year and then let it fly. He has the highest ceiling in the draft IMHO.

2. Keep Foles or acquire Romo to start in 2017. I would say of the two choices, Foles makes the most sense. He is already under contract, has experience in the system, and is younger/more durable. Because at the end of the day, even though I'm sure Nick would be frustrating at times, I feel that he gives them the best chance to win the Super Bowl in 2017 in comparison to Alex. No matter what happens, you've still got your QBOTF in Mahomes waiting.

This needs to happen.

They need to focus on getting a QB and getting more pass rushers

His first significant ban? Do go on..

LMAO

It's almost like this guy started following the Chiefs in 2013.

That's why I suggest Foles/Romo be the starter next season. I want the rook to be drafted, but I still want the team to have a chance next year while the roster is still strong.

I could also get behind stocking up for a trade up in 2018 to get Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen, but in the meantime something still needs to be done. We do not need to waste 2017.

You'd have to ride with Foles for 2017. You would have no clear future at the position for one year.
I could live with it.

Thank God Dorsey isn't dumb enough to flush away all the hard work he's put in the last 4 years.

pugsnotdrugs19 01-22-2017 10:07 PM

I really do believe this will be the year they invest in a QB early, contrary to the fears of many on here.

We already know Dorsey/Reid were prepared to take Lynch last year if he well to them. Similar reports were out about Manziel in 2014. We know that they have kept an eye out each year for the right guy.

This is the year that they finally get him, and trade up if they have to.

"Flush away"? Hardly.

"Putting the icing on the cake"? Definitely.

Smith's time is over. His mission has been accomplished. He'll make a nice retiree.

What is going to be flushed away if they decide to move on from Captain Checkdown? All the hidden touchdowns that he doesn't throw?

Jesus man. The roster is not going to crumble if they decide to make the right moves at the most important position.

"a chance," eh?

I guess we have different definitions of "wasted."
