The balls it takes to watch a putt like that fall in front of you and then hit that shot. Incredible.

Dr. Gigglepants 04-14-2013 05:00 PM

Poor Snedeker, after that putt at 10 he just fell apart.

Cabrera's already got 2 majors, though. Scott has never won one of these things and he's been waiting so damn long.

Just steps up and knocks in the back of the cup, like a casual Sunday afternoon on his home course

Yeah, Angel has that going for him. But Scott has been real close to getting a major the last couple years. I'd like to see him get one, Angel already has a jacket.

I couldn't imagine a harder 3 foot putt than that one.

highBOLTage 04-14-2013 05:04 PM

Really good form on the high five by Scott. Keeps his eyes on Williams' hand the whole time.

KC_Connection 04-14-2013 05:47 PM

It's too bad they both couldn't have won. Angel Cabrera was hitting some awesome shots down the stretch and showed no fear, but Scott made the big putts in the big moments. He hadn't his entire career before this.

I'm glad that Adam Scott finally did it, especially after the relative choke at the Open last year. He always had the talent to win multiple majors and now that he's got one, he may get a few more.

One of the most likeable for sure. He's awesome. He's already got his jacket, though, he'll be all right.

stonedstooge 04-14-2013 05:52 PM

The Tin Man holds back the tears as he puts the jacket on Scott

KC_Connection 04-14-2013 05:55 PM

That really was pretty good high 5, celebration form with Scott and Williams there. Very Tiger-like.

He's so solid, this is exactly what I was thinking after he won. If this gives him a new confidence in the flat stick, look out.

Braincase 04-14-2013 06:39 PM

Meanwhile, Lindsey's ex is claiming credit for calling in Tiger's rules violation.

Guess he's taking issue with Tiger violating his Lindsey.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-14-2013 07:57 PM

Had to run several errands today so I missed the conclusion, and when I got done watching it on DVR I ran out of extra time after the first playoff hole.

Saw that Scott won. He definitely earned it down the stretch and got redemption from one of the worst collapses in golf history.

Cabrera's iron into 18 was, literally, a top five shot all-time under the circumstances.

Goddamn, do I hate Steve Williams and that cheat stick, though.

Cabrera is so, so clutch. Both his chip and putt in the playoff were also great efforts, they just didn't fall.

This win might be even more incentive for the USGA to take away the long putter. Scott's certainly been helped by it over the last 2 years (especially confidence-wise).

He made a great putt on 16 that dropped, another really good putt on 17 that just burned the edge, and the two others that you mentioned.

Guy was absolute nails when it mattered.

Doesn't have much respect for the living golf legend who made him a rich, rich man, does he?

'Hamas' Jenkins 05-08-2013 08:18 PM

Vijay Singh, still the biggest asshole in golf.

The guy who was banned from the Asian Tour for cheating in the 80s, who was banned from Australian PGA for financial improprieties, the same guy who admitted to taking a banned substance that players had been specifically warned about, the same guy who gets off on a technicality, is now suing the PGA for defamation.

He should have been banned for life from all organization tours 25 years ago.

KC_Connection 05-08-2013 09:01 PM

Knew you'd be here talking about Vijay's latest bullshit stunt. LMAO

Lee Westwood -5 today. 1 shot back now.

Dr. Gigglepants 05-10-2013 08:38 AM

Thinking about a golf trip to STL this summer. Can anyone recommend what the good public courses are? Tapawingo looks like a must, nothing else has really jumped off the screen, just started looking yesterday though.

The good public courses are scattered all over the area.

Tapawingo is a good choice, just ask when you make the tee time to stay off the Meramec Nine. It's not in bad shape, just boring compared to the other two nines.

The Missouri Bluffs is a must. Pevely Farms is a nice track.

Rest are on the Illinois side. Annbriar, Gateway National and Stonewolf are all nice tracks.

Rausch 05-12-2013 08:11 AM

Wrong turn. My bad...

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 05-12-2013 11:49 AM

It appears that players are destroying the course today. Should make for an exciting finish

highBOLTage 05-12-2013 04:22 PM

I am disappoint in those kids that spelled out S-E-R-G-I-O with their shirts on the 16th tee. They should have got there a group before and could've spelled O-R-G-I-E-S for Tiger's group.

'Hamas' Jenkins 05-12-2013 04:31 PM

That fat yank Tiger hit into the water was one of his worst shots ever, up there with the shank he hit (available on YouTube) and an 80 yard drive at Augusta some years back.

'Hamas' Jenkins 05-12-2013 04:34 PM

Here's Lee Westwood's whiff from yesterday:

Sergio dumps two in a row into the water on 17 with a share of the lead... ROFL

KC_Connection 05-12-2013 04:39 PM

And that's why Sergio is who he is. Just go home and save yourself the embarrassment.
