Both Jason King and Eric Bossi, who know Marshall as well as any national writers, think he would listen for $3 million/year.

Missouri was prepared to go into the mid-$2 million range with Mike Anderson before he left, and before the SEC deal was completed. The AD likely has the cash to handle paying $3 million a year for a hire that would instantly energize the fanbase like Marshall would.

Probably a long-shot, but not as extreme as you might think.
